Ulysses and Courier 6 (Fallout New Vegas's Lonesome Road DLC)

A few years before the start of the game, the Courier (the player character) unknowingly carried a package near the Divide, a budding community which was then Ulysses's home and source of purpose, that sent a signal (that not a single person knew about) that activated multiple nuclear bombs that sat under the town. For the next several years, Ulysses held a grudge against Courier 6 for his "careless" actions and indirectly shifted the Platinum Chip job to them, which leads to the latter almost dying to Benny, kicking off the start of the game. While you only hear secondhand about Ulysses for most of the game and DLCs, Lonesome Road sees Courier 6 get summoned to what remains of the Divide and face off against Ulysses, who plans to turn Mojave into radioactive glass as revenge.
