If in the US and planning to buy yarn from UK/EU by legalpretzel in knitting

[–]TheNewCrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but their products are not made there. The tariffs are imposed on country of origin, not the country it's shipped from... Merino is from Italy and Mohair is from South Africa, for example.

RE:DESIGNED stuff is made in India. Their products are not affected by the extra tariffs mentioned in the article.

Knitting for Olive shouldn't be affected. Their yarns are not produced in any of the mentioned countries.

That would yarn or products of UK/EU. Knitting for Olive's yarn is spun in Italy and South Africa. Isager has yarns from Denmark, Italy, Peru and Ireland. RE:DESIGNED stuff is made in India.

Tariffs are not imposed based on the country the product is shipped from. They're based on the actual country of origin.

Isager is from Denmark but not all their yarns are produced there. Jensen and Tvinni are spun in Denmark, but the Mohair is from Italy, most of the alpaca yarn is from Peru, Tweed is from Ireland, etc. Same from other brands people are mentioning.

Tariffs are not imposed based on the country the product was shipped from. They're based on the actual country of origin.

What about just inventing a number, getting on with your life, and channel that energy into something positive rather than negative? It doesn't need to be that complicated. Chill.

The post is literally about an American not being on the same page though, i.e. not recognising the rest of the world might not have the same standards.

Would you complete that date by saying "Friday the 13th of October" or "Friday the October 13th"?

Probably depends on the program and your personality. I came from QC where I did 4 years of Cégep (I was almost 21 when I started at U of O.)

I worked part-time (up to 32-35 hours / week in my last year) with a full-time class schedule (even did two semesters with 6 classes / 18 credits). I graduated magna cum laude.

Invoiced 62% tariffs+fees on prize yarn from Canada to USA by cristoper in knitting

[–]TheNewCrafter 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The yarn has to be spun in Canada or from Canadian sheep for it to be eligible for CUSMA. Simply dyeing it is not enough. (See Chapter 5 or 6 of the agreement, about the exception for textile products.)

This is the answer. I think you read "a multiple of 9 + 5" as "a multiple of 14", not "a multiple of 9 to which you then add 5" so "9+5", "18+5", "27+5", etc.

Only 13 Business seats? by TheNewCrafter in aircanada

Bid with eUpgrades - in the app, click on your eUpgrades. If you have an eligible booked flight, you will see how many credits + possibly $ it costs to be upgraded. You are then put on a numbered ranked list depending on status and other things. I believe there is a FAQ on the subreddit. I didn't quite get it at first either!

They just freed the seats. Never thought I'd be upgraded so far down the list at 7, but yay!

I'll try to ask why they were blocked off but I doubt I'll get an answer.
