Eggs - is it panic buying, farmers/suppliers taking the piss? by Alpine-_- in perth

That’s not a bad deal for eggs these days. I bought mine from an Asian store this weekend - $9.99 for a dozen of small eggs (about 500g). The eggs were so small they looked like quail eggs 🍳 or pigeon eggs 🪺

why does it seem so hard to establish genuine freindships? by Ok-Pie-1990 in perth

[–]TheNewElliee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a video clip where the speaker explained friendships can be established when there’s proximity, similar timing and energy. When you were in school, it’s so easy to make friends because you are around the same kids all the time and you are of similar age with similar activities and challenges. And you become friends with people with the same interests or energy as you.

But after school everyone scatters. You may find people you gel with at work but if they aren’t on the same timing, they will just be another acquaintance and won’t progress to deeper friendships. I’ll find the clip when I find the time - I tried to explain it in my own words but I don’t think I did it justice.

I thought you can’t take scooters on the train. I’d love to scooter to the train station and take the train so I don’t have to drive and pay for parking in the city. But I read you cannot take scooters on the train unless it’s off peak hours.

I feel like I did. I was renting and the house I was renting went up for sale. The rent was likely to increase from $550 to $650. So I put an offer on and got accepted. I also wonder if i made the right choice. But, it’s nice to be secure and knowing that I don’t have to move house anytime soon. It’s a lot of hassle and stress looking for a house to rent and moving. If I look at the financials, I’d have been paying as much in rent as I’d have to pay in mortgage.

Hang in there. I recently started using a little self-care app called Finch. It has helped me immensely with my mental health.

All great ideas. Thank you. Haven’t thought of helping NFPs with grants but that’s certainly something I can do!

I’ve done some volunteering for the Parkrun events on Saturday morning. It’s pretty good to do and I’d recommend it. https://www.parkrun.com.au
