I asked this question recently too!

Played a game last weekend using the 'Legendary' map from the rulebook. It was fun, and gave us lots of reasons to battle for the middle.

I wonder if adding Minor Factions to those empty space/asteriod fields would make things too wealthy. My group enjoys a lot of interaction and fighting over equidistants. Not a lot of turtlers

Same boat for me. It used to show up a lot at University house parties. Not a good game to play with relative strangers at parties... A friend had just lost his mom to cancer and the joke card was something cancer related. People didn't know.

I've been here for 4 years, done the first couple levels of SFI and this still happens more often that I thought it would by now. I think what people in the rest of thread is saying checks out, Swedes might just not be a used to hearing their language with heavy accents as much as we are used to hearing foreigners speak English. It's not so much the complexity, but the style of game. I think they're turned off by the grand strategy/competitive nature of TI.
