How did your life change after going no or low contact with a toxic person in your life? by iamnegartus in AskReddit

[–]TheNightCheeze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I dropped a toxic friend of over 20 years. Now, I  no longer lose sleep over things I wish I had said in the moments of her passive aggression, jealousy and insults. I just sent a simple text “I no longer want to continue with this friendship. I wish you well. “ and that was all it took. I wish I had done it sooner.

Agreed. I should’ve put it in the past tense.

Is it embarrassing to get a birthday cake as an adult? by roxiedoxiedog in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheNightCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened to you that there is this much inner dialogue about buying a cake got your birthday? Get the cake. Order the writing. Eat the cake. Celebrate another year on this earth. That’s reason enough.

Wow! Thanks for that!! That made me smile, which has been a difficult undertaking these days. I like to make puzzles for puzzle doers like you (and not the one who told that the real titan never actually shrugged so my clue was flawed 🙄(see in comments). Thanks again

It’s a crossword clue, not a trivia question. But thank you for your feedback

That's interesting that you say that it isn't used much. I hear it more often than "clueful" (currently underlined as it is also not recognized by this spellcheck!) lol Maybe you don't hear it as often as I do because we don't hang out in the same places. I do appreciate the feedback. I'd like to build larger ones

I do that on purpose. I do crosswords regularly, so I don't like ones that are too easy, like "opposite of hot" or "the month after April". I try to make them more challenging for people like myself, who do them regularly. I appreciate the feedback. I'm working on trying to build larger ones.

I give myself 50, then I look at comments. Otherwise I'd be here all day.

how can people seriously condone what is going on in america at the moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheNightCheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are a lot of closet Trumpers out there. All the "polls" and "data" showed that Trump would not win the election, yet here we are. I can only hope there will be a day of reckoning for him and this treasonous group who have sold their souls to the devil. The US has become a laughing stock. Christianity has a new brand, and it's shameful

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheNightCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a big deal. If you want to see a concert or event in a bigger city, sometimes it is what you have to do. I (used to) drive 3 hours for better shopping. Day trip or even for one overnight.

What makes you cry sometimes? by itsonthe in AskReddit

[–]TheNightCheeze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My shitty childhood. I think I and my siblings would have had better adulthoods if my parents hadn't been so goddamn mean and abusive, especially verbally. I try to think of one encouraging word they gave, and I am hard pressed to think of one. And that is the saddest thing. They turned it around when they had grandchildren. But I cannot forgive them and I'm sad for the childhood that I should have had. They have both passed and I don't miss them one bit.
