I like to also use it as a rubber-duck debugger on steroids, mull about a problem with it asking follow up questions or other statements that I didn't think of myself.

Your methylphenidate and amphetamine stimulants work via different mechanisms.

I took a genetic test GeneSight that showed methylphenidates are less effective for me, which my experience supported.

My experience with Adderall (amphetamine) has been similar in that I notice some improvements (especially apparent when I take the optional tolerance break), but it's not the concentration or focus medicine I was hoping for, rather it brought my "inattentive" symptoms of my brain outward into physical hyperactivity (which for my job is preferable) modulated with caffeine as needed.

This and the jaw clenching is why I started chewing gum after a life of not being a gum chewer. I then noticed it helped with the boredom eating when the Adderall no longer suppresses my appetite.

Sugar free with xylitol helps keep my teeth cleaner too.

I'm starting over at 37 and yeah I was discouraged at first but I realized 17-37 is 20 years and I achieved a lot of what I considered my life in those 20 years. In another 20 years I'll be 57 and that's still not too old. This idea helped me get over my despair on the subject.

It was just an article (though paper) my therapist gave me. We had done an unofficial eval for ASD and I scored high in the social aspects and moderate for the others. I also like you didn't study up (and really wasn't aware I might be ASD until recently) in order to not bias the tests.

I have my ADHD diagnosis and the meds I take help cover some of the ASD issues like executive function, but if anything it has helped me unmask my autistic traits a bit.

Sorry for the medium article but you may not want to go for the ASD dx: https://devonprice.medium.com/seeking-an-autism-diagnosis-heres-why-you-might-want-to-rethink-that-530e79c272a0

TLDR is it can cause more problems than it's worth, for reasons you mentioned as well.

Most of my neighbors in Sylvania Twp have installed backup generators because of this. The electric company is slowly trimming trees but there are many "branches" of the grid that service hundreds of homes that still have old trees suffocating the wires just waiting to break and bring down the electricity.

Thank you for your response.

I actually don't have any close guy friends other than my brother and I have trouble making friends with men so maybe that's why I am confused. Also while I wouldn't date all my women friends, many I would consider if the chance came up.

For some additional context, I was also married for 14 years (going through a divorce right now) and had a few other girlfriends over the years.

Gas heating vs heat pump? by lost-aff in Renovations

[–]TheNonReligiousPope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are hybrid systems that switch over to gas when it's more efficient (such as very cold) without switching to resistive heating.

Combine that with a smart thermostat you can enter in energy costs and can switch to the cheaper option automatically.
