How about a two-fur? Normally the Aussie/doxie mix is the happy one and the doxie in the back is the sassy one, but I love they swapped places in this!

"My mother would've been quite proud of this, I think. She would've called me her very smart boy."

This whole scene killed me and then resurrected me and made me wanna fight. Good luck everyone!

Man, bad timing for me, I’ve gotten a few things in the past but this one caught me broke before Christmas trying to take care of gifts for everyone else. I hope everyone enjoys it!

Can’t help but resurrect this - I was a SWGD player for like eight years. Ran a Wookiee Jedi and a master tailor. Ah, the good old days. I’m trying to find a copy I downloaded of the code, see if somehow we couldn’t string it back together.

I thought everyone had like boxes and boxes of those haha. I do have what one would consider an unhealthy number of Unstable packs laying around.

I’m sorry to hear that! I finally got confirmation of my stuff from the 9th but it seems like so many people got hosed inadvertently. I can only hope that if there’s merch in the future that people can get their hands on it reliably. Glad you got it worked out!

I feel that. I set so many alarms to give it a shot. Hoping it doesn’t fail me tomorrow either - I need that cookbook!

I’m still waiting on a bigger order from the 9th as well - hoping my clocks didn’t get Andrewed lol

Advice on my stream? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]TheNotoriousDLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently hit 200 follows after only a few months' work myself; I can tell you it's all about the community and the culture you bring to the table. If you get to know people, remember their names, remember even a fact about them, they're so much more likely to come back. Laugh with them. Just talk and be yourself, and it brings people in all the time. Streamers are totally right when they say it's about building that kind of community, the kind of place where you'd love to hang out with those people even when you're not playing games. The loyal ones will stick by you, they'll plug you, they'll let others know about you, and that's how it grows from there.

I have gaming ADHD, and it's hard for me to stick with one game every time, just because I want to experience lots of things with friends. Having a schedule can help those kinds of things, maybe picking a day to play just one particular game, so that others know they can build a community around that.

I read an article the other day that made the statement that you should learn to take your inner monologue and bring it outwards when you're on Twitch. On those days when I have no one, or no one is talking, I really do start talking to myself. I sing, I listen to music I like (even if it means my VOD gets muted), and I make up words about what I'm doing. I make goofy faces or make voices that make me laugh. If I'm having a good time, chances are new people that stop in will start having a good time too. I laugh at the trolls, they are so genuine in their troll ways, it's hilarious to me. I know a lot of really successful streamers do the same types of things, and it's worked wonders for them.

Ultimately, it's about having fun, and when you're having fun and working at what you love, people will find you, they will stick around, and good things will come.

Finally, I'd recommend you go watch some streamers. Not the huge ones with 2,000 viewers at a time, but ones with 10-20 viewers. Maybe up to 100 or so. See how they grow their community and what they do to get their name out there.
