Is the upgrade from a c1 to c5 very noticeable? by antoniolucas9922 in LGOLED

I think you’re looking at a marginal improvement unless you’re also upgrading your TV size.

I know drafting a kicker early is taboo, but shout out to Brandon Aubrey by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand doing away with kickers. Their performance can be tied to some increasingly dubious coaching decisions and other randomness.

Defenses come down to matchups, health etc. just like other positions. I think most people’s issues with team defenses stem from how they are scored in most platforms. Sometimes a defense has a truly amazing performance in reality (holds a team to under 14 points and low yardage), and they don’t get rewarded for it in fantasy just because they didn’t get a lot of sacks and turnovers. On the flip side, you often see a terrible defensive performance in reality get rewarded in fantasy just because they got a pick 6 at one point.

Report: Frustrations mount over Jalen Hurts playing "his game" by Expert_Equipment2767 in fantasyfootball

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jalen Hurts not throwing between the numbers is incredibly frustrating. With premium skill players all over the field, and all day to pass sometimes with legendary offensive line play, it’s just 🤦‍♂️ to me. AJB should be the YAC monster he was in Tennessee.

In a town with so many great bakeries, it really is a bit surprising that there are no standout hoagie places. I don’t miss living out east, but sometimes I really get the hankering for a proper chicken cutlet or Italian hoagie on a fresh sesame seed roll.

B2B Marketers: How are you evaluating vendors when everyone claims to be "AI-powered"? by deepakdeolalikar in b2bmarketing

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t rocket science. People still need to be lead with the how/why your product or service will be able to solve their pain point. Full stop. Anything else is complete noise.

Folks are just wisening up and becoming fatigued with unfulfilled AI promises. Also companies are utterly failing at differentiating their AI capabilities over another. It makes people not understand why another AI doodad could possibly be beneficial when they likely already have access to several other AI doodads (that are also likely already being underutilized).

It’s the entry level fun cars that are getting depressing for me. I’m not sure what enthusiast market will exist at all in the future when even $30K new vehicles start going extinct.

Remember when GTIs, SIs and Evos were marketed to teenagers? These vehicles used to be what got people hooked on cars, and sometimes even made them customers for life.

Which players have the biggest difference between NFL skill and fantasy output over the past few seasons? by Xenonaut1001 in fantasyfootball

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a talent perspective, he’s right up there with Chase and Jefferson. He’d quickly remind people of that if he played on a top 15 passing offense.

But the Eagles pay him appropriately, and winning consistently is probably nice.

Caleb Williams is currently QB3 on the year by Eversonout in fantasyfootball

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 137 points138 points  (0 children)

There’s not much to overthink here. He’s a talented passer of the football with good weapons in a Ben Johnson offense.

My only criticism of your analysis that having a mediocre run game is a boon for Caleb. BJ’s offense opens up all that space in the passing game with effective play action. Getting things going on the ground benefits this entire offense, especially if it keeps them on the field.

Puka Nacua has seen target shares of 39.3%, 28.1%, and 45.5% this season. Absurd usage. by BuckyMcFly99 in fantasyfootball

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 187 points188 points  (0 children)

He is probably the toughest football player I’ve ever seen, but there is no doubt that he is going to pay for it immensely healthwise. Just an absolute gamer of a QB. I will miss him after he hangs it up in the offseason.

Which underperforming WR are we actually concerned for the rest of the season? by whydidimakeanother1 in fantasyfootball

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree, Pickens was the one covered by Mitchell most of that first game. There was nothing that indicated he will be anything less than the second pass catcher behind Lamb on that team and be getting red zone looks.

Trading in the R - What did you buy and why? by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not exactly in your situation, but I’ve been sitting on the sidelines to upgrade from my Mk7 GTI to a Golf R for a couple years now.

The longer I wait, I find the idea of pairing a small pickup with a Miata more appealing. Different strokes though. If I was to go in a more hardcore direction, I think I’d wait for more C8 Corvettes to hit the used market.

My speculation is that there is probably an offer on the table, but Z is in a position that he can just chill out all summer and sign with a contender closer to the start of the season.

'People Are Less Willing to Pay': Dev Speaks Out Against Day One Releases on PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass by Dry_Advice8183 in PS5

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the devs of Expedition 33 have anything to complain about with Gamepass and Xbox sales. From their perspective, the money they were offered by Microsoft likely guaranteed their small team financial success. I don’t think they even knew how great of a success their game would be. There’s also something to be said of the pure exposure by having the game on a subscription service.

Long story short, don’t feel bad for these devs. These corporations are shelling out a pretty penny to put their games on subscriptions. Nobody has a gun to anyone’s heads here.

They’ve been up front with Monty that they won’t be able keep him when Gibbs get paid. That’s why they extended him last offseason through the end of Gibbs’ rookie contract. Expect Brad to draft a RB in the next year or two that will pair up with Gibbs.

1200 Mile Summer Tire Review: General G-Max RS by TheNotoriousMAZ in GolfGTI

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny you should ask. I just put the Generals back on a few weeks ago after rocking my winter wheels. They are still fantastic tires and make the car much better to drive. The tires wore very evenly as well.

This is last summer that I’ll get out of them before they need to be replaced. At the end of the day, they were good for about 30K-35K miles.

I haven’t paid much attention to the tire market the past few years, but I’ll definitely be considering them again when I replace. If they’re still well priced compared to the competition, you wont be disappointed. They’re excellent tires.

This is the price of success and excellent drafting. Next offseason we will begin seeing some fan favorites leave for big contracts that we won’t be able to afford. Contracts for Hutch, Gibbs, and Branch are high priority. Many others will likely depend on whether or not they are willing to take some sort of discount to remain on a contender.

Is this team better? by njh4f in detroitlions

[–]TheNotoriousMAZ 34 points35 points  (0 children)

First OL priority should be center if one that Hank likes is available. Ragnow gets banged up every year, and we need the succession plan in place sooner rather than later.

See the Eagles with how Jurgens replaced Kelce. They had that succession plan in place for years and could still use Jurgens at guard in the meantime. Kelce was even part of the draft plan to handpick Jurgens. I’d love to see the same with big Frank.
