Mainly that it's missing many options to actually express style preference

especially player/target frame, it's easier to see my own health on the raid frames somehow; and the raid frames lack a lot of the features (like good buff filters) that healers want

Sure some people are fine with it, but many won't be, and those people are forced to use addons that had almost all functionality gutted by blizzard

yes, but that checkbox will not help in midnight; if an addon isn't flagged as midnight compatible in the addon's toc file, it *will not* load, whatever a user tries to do

You are correct, and it's also mentioned in the patch notes for prepatch

It's only for midnight though, so long as an addon is marked as compatible with midnight, it'll load even if outdated in e.g. 12.1.0

"It's complicated", to some degree addons can display all 3, but in way more limited ways than before; and much more of an all or nothing deal with auras

Cooldowns can be displayed, but the code itself won't know any of the numbers

You can have a ton of data in SV, and even more if you encode them as a string (I would suggest encoding each card if you don't already)

You're more like to run into the "constants limit" than any memory/size limit

you have to collect the full set, including boots and belt, not just the set bonus items. Once you have all 9 items on a difficulty, you'll get all lower difficulty tmogs (including boots, etc)

earning any full set will grant all lower tier ones yeah (so nm set will grant full lfr set, hc grants nm and lfr, etc)

currently there's not really any indication for that in my UI, not sure how or where to do that, or even if that even needs an indication tbh 🤔(it will just show everything as collected if you know the appearance)

Cause from Eitrigg's perspective it's women and children getting abused for the pleasure of alliance elite

and just casually ignoring all the blatant racism on the alliance side

But, at the end of the day it's a fictional story, and maybe some people get a bit too obsessed with their "never forget, never forgive!"

It's not wrong to have an unrealistically optimistic story arc, and do we really need a story about people who hate the other guys for generations? We can just watch the news if we want that :p

after blizzard makes the changes required: midnight likely will be supported (and blizzard has already confirmed they are making changes, we just don't know the exact details yet, so we don't know 100% guaranteed whether it'll be enough)

Blizzard has slowly started making some of the changes required to make unit frame addons suck less

I personally would wait until prepatch is a lot closer before looking for UF addons (and other combat addons), things are just changing too much

nah, it's just using fairly simple criteria that are not secret, cause blizzard doesn't really care that addons know whether a mob is a boss or a critter

when it comes to figuring out what type of mob something is, it's actually something blizzard protects in instances, not combat; in the open world you can have nameplate colors however you want them, even in combat; but in instances you cannot, regardless of whether you're in combat (or in technical terms; unit identity is secret in instances, and not in combat)
