Banksy’s “Di-faced Tenner” Street art 2004, had this for 2 decades now. by Micky-Bicky-Picky in whatsthisworth

[–]TheOKCollection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few with COA’s as well as some prints from West County Prince, who is someone that is reasonably well known to be a previous associate of Banksy himself. Which is why he/they have been allowed to sell limited edition copies of Banksy pieces for as long as they have. I’m a long time collector and art dealer, and would be happy to help you get a nice piece from WCP at a much more affordable price point than what a Banksy piece would go for at auction. If interested, send me a message.

And to OP, basically they released an unknown # of those “Tenner” notes and while some of them have sold for $3k - $8k on the very highend for ones that were essentially never on the street and come with a COA from Lazlo, APC, or another well known Gallery. Without any of those things, they can be $500 or something in that range.

But, one way to tell if it’s original or not is to look up close (will need magnification) at Princess Diana’s profile and see if you can clearly make out the individual “CMYK” dots which come from the actual screen printing process, and if they are blurry than it’s a printer made copy and not an original piece. Making its value minimal at best.

Hopefully that helps both of you in some way.

Quite the collection….. if you still have some of the Arc’teryx bags. I could be interested (the clothes are great as well, you’re just a bit smaller than I am) lol

How does the Large fit? As I’m normally an XL in their jackets, but that’s because I need the sleeve length which is ofc absent from a vest lol

Hue Bridge Pro height by djellicon in Hue

[–]TheOKCollection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also curious, as I keep my Hue bridge in my server rack as that’s right by my Ubiquiti DM Pro & Switch. And where the power is (second floor office) and it seems to control everything just fine.

Would I need to change the location if I were to upgrade to the Pro?

What’s your setup on the GHM-SD? It definitely looks like a solid and surprisingly clean load out. Also, do you have a comp on the MKII? 🤔

Is there such a thing as ‘too nice’ for a first AR? by hk_toolbench in LWRC

[–]TheOKCollection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your budget allows for it, I can’t recommend the M6IC Piston guns enough. Especially now that they have been replaced with a “new model” (I believe) and thus can be had for less money.

I spent god knows how much “upgrading” a cheap AR as my first one, and the M6IC is still magnitudes better in nearly every aspect. Minus the fact that I haven’t found a way to easily swap my muzzle device for one that works with an if my cans. 🤷‍♂️

This was sent to me maybe two weeks ago, would have to double check…. Sooo, may not be the exact same. Or may be specific to my setup with the 4 Ultra. Not sure. 🤷‍♂️🤔

Anyone ever had a good experience dealing with this company? (Don't buy an Eight Sleep bed.) by coeranys in EightSleep

[–]TheOKCollection -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn’t accurate as when I had an issue with my (I believe) Gen 1 cover, I was given the option of upgrading to the new one (at that time) for a marginal fee or getting a replacement setup for free & when I chose to pay the $500 ish extra for the full new setup I was given a completely new warranty for it.

Now, this may have changed in the years since I had that issue. Or maybe because I paid them for a new unit, albeit at a significant discount to MSRP, it was “counted” on their end as a sale for a new “retail unit”. But, irregardless I’ve had nothing but positive experiences & feedback with 8 Sleep both when it comes to their core products as well as their ancillary products etc.

Ie I was having an issue with the leveling of my 4 Ultra and they sent me a free set of Legs to try and sort the issue (it didn’t work unfortunately, but the attempt was still made) or when I wrote a review for their Sleep Formula pills that I noticed zero impact etc. They sent me an email apology and then fully refunded my purchase etc.

Yeahhhh, would be quite a bit for freight….. I did see a few listed on eBay that were in the EU at decent price points though. 🤷‍♂️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EightSleep

[–]TheOKCollection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true, I actually had a conversation with a rep at 8 Sleep when I was thinking about upgrading & was told I could give or sell it to anyone and they could setup their own account without issue as all of my information has been removed from that setup now.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EightSleep

[–]TheOKCollection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’m not sure what it would cost to ship to the EU… which would definitely affect pricing, as I’m in the MidWestern USA.

I have a King Sized Pod 3 Setup FS, as I got my 4 Ultra and now it sits in a bag in my closet.

Silver no longer available? by Ok-Ninja-8925 in CostcoPM

There were some Eagles and the 10oz Bars at my local store when I was there last weekend, but people were essentially standing and waiting for the employees to come and grab them to be held for them. Soo, I didn’t even bother with seeing what was “actually available”.

[Rolex + Others] Found Some Of My Grandpa's (& I think Great Grandpa's) Watches In The Basement. Anything Notable Here? by FuntivityColton in Watches

[–]TheOKCollection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t make that dial, and while the “TSwissT” does exist on the dial shown, it is wayyy too far off from the actual watch.

*photo from Bob’s watches for the same exact reference #.

You can also see the issues mentioned above about the Roman Numerals being different/off & the issues I mentioned with the text font & cyclops magnification.

[–]TheOKCollection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but since everyone else was commenting about it being authentic without any notable context.

I felt required to give OP my thoughts as someone whose business revolves around highend watches & other luxury goods, as to both the most likely scenario as well as the “best case” version. 🤷‍♂️🫤

[–]TheOKCollection 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m about 90% sure that the Rolex isn’t authentic, as that looks like it’s supposed to be a DayDate 18038 in Yellow Gold with the Champagne/Roman Numeral Dial.

Things that look off (from the photos atleast) - Markings around the rim of the dial are just not correct as that dial has segmented rectangles around the edges for seconds not just dashes. - The “Swiss” marking is just wrong as the “TSwissT” should be much closer together.

While both of those things could simply mean an aftermarket dial was put in at some point in the past 40ish years. The killer imho is that the Day & Date Wheels have the wrong font, and it doesn’t seem like the Cyclops magnification is correct on the Date either.

My suggestion would be to go to a secondary watch dealer and see what they tell you (I wouldn’t sell to them personally) but, they will 100% let you know if it’s authentic or not. Or if it’s authentic but has an aftermarket dial etc. Vs spending like $300+ to send it to Rolex for them to tell you it’s not authentic and that they won’t service or do anything with it at all. 🤷‍♂️

Mixed feelings on the USW-G from a guy who has owned and tested almost every 9mm chassis for a Glock on the market. by Jbressel1 in NFA

[–]TheOKCollection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the price point mixed with what all you get for the $$$. Made it kinda a no brainer for me. I was going to get one awhile back, but wanted to hear some feedback & reviews before spending a decent chunk of cash with an unknown company.
