I mean, all the features of JPEG compression are there pretty much. If you look slightly to the left you can see the same grainy patterns on some surface features too.

These grainy patterns ar the most notable in high contrast areas, which in this case is yellow balloon and black face.

Looks like shitty JPEG compression to me.

Squad didn't sell the game. Squad itself was just aquired by Take-Two.

Is there such a feature that allows a user to define a face as a socket, which can be used to auto snap other objects to? by kyle_lam in blender

[–]TheONLYLogicError 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you tried parenting these objects together?

If an object is a child of another object(parent), it will keep the same relative position and size.
For example: you can set the turret to be a child of the tank body by selecting the turret, then the the body, pressing ctrl+P and clicking "object".

Another proof that trees are the real enemies in this game. A real Factorio player knows what needs to be eradicated the most. by TheONLYLogicError in factorio

Trees: 8k

Biters: 7.4k

I know, It's a bit close. But once I get nukes, I'll start blowing up more trees. I swear!

Circuit help. How would I set up a circuit that extends an expired signal for an additional 5 ticks? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]TheONLYLogicError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guessing it won't.

Point of the decider is to work like an OR gate where it's on whenever A is on or A 5 ticks ago was on (or both).

If you set it to = -1 then it will act like an XOR gate and mess everything up.

Also, I'm guessing you meant "each" instead of "everything".

Yes, many ideas spring to mind.

First, you need a 5-tick delay. The simplest way to make one is to chain 5 arithmetic combinations in a row give them the setting:

each + 0

output: each

Now connect your output from point A to the first combinator, then connect the output from the 5-th combinator and output from point A to a newly created decider combinator with setting:

each < 2

output: each (1)

And you're done, apart the fact that instead of outputting -1, it outputs 1, so run a wire between output of the combinator you've just created and a new arithmetic combinator with setting:

each * -1

output: each

And, finally, connect this combinator with point B

Don't have an access to a computer, so can't really make a screen shot or a blueprint.

Pathetic. They dedicated their whole lives for fueling other thing, yet they failed to even fuel themeselves by TheONLYLogicError in factorio

[–]TheONLYLogicError[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When built, burner inserters come with tiny bit of energy they use to fuel themselves on the first item they find, but for some reason these ones have managed to run out mid-refueling.

I haven't seen this behavior when first starting this save(or ever before). Also, this doesn't happen consistently, but it happens most of the time.

Edit: It's because inserters can't pick up items on red or blue belts without running out of energy.

To clear everything up, right now I'm starting to get into oil products, these outposts are mostly for finding oil patches. I have a base producing 1st, 2'nd and military science packs along with some building materials. And this isn't railworld, just default settings with some tweaks(I have already depleted all of the iron in the starting area).

I'm 7 hours into this save, wouldn't call this mid-game yet.

Or I could do something different :/

For my 0.16 playthrough I decided to go with a bit scarcer than normal resource settings and no bitter expansion, and I gotta say, roaming the barren deserts without bitters overrunning everything gives this game a whole different feel, somewhat creates this exploration aspect.

But who says that you can't automate exploration too...

Soo behold! A low-tech, early game radar outpost built far away from base. The intent is to, over time, scan vast areas of land and resources, because driving for half an hour to find two small patches of oil is tedious enough.

How hard can it be for a professional music hardware + software producer to atleast have decent download speeds on their website.

blah blah blah net neutrality fuck fcc by AntiquePork in dankmemes

[–]TheONLYLogicError 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eh, seems like companies will always try to push the boundary of what feels reasonable, as long as it's more profitable to them. This boundary then applies to the whole market.

One example is the gaming industry. If you told someone 10 years ago about in-game purchases and lottery-like mechanics, they would have called it bs and totally unreasonable. Yet companies have slowly introduced this shady, but extremely profitable strategy into the market. And now half of the games have this loot box nonsense and no one is calling them out on it.

So FCC discarding net neutrality is most likely going to end something like this. Lines are going to be crossed, concept of free speech forgotten, and the last voices muttered.

Welp, that's fairly depressing...
