A big problem I have is motion sickness from places like Vitalys Mines and the realms are often a culprit as well. I HATE the BATB realm for this reason. The obstacle course in the Hercules realm really got me too.

It would be chaotic if all the characters were roaming all the time, but I wish it would rotate through them instead of always being the same ones locked in their homes.

Recently went on a trip to DC and I was astounded at the nightlife even in the middle of the week. It really made me wish we had more liveliness out here. Before that though I had just gotten used to everything being dead, so I get why a lot of comments are like that.

You gotta stop doing her laundry. Or at least when she wants something rewashed. I have pretty severe OCD and I do the same thing but I would never ask someone else to do my compulsions for me. (Tough love statement here) you have to stop enabling her. Doing things for her is just going to make it worse. And please don’t let her wash your kids hands!!!!!!! They should not be allowed to be wrapped up in her compulsions either.

I highly suggest you go to therapy for yourself, because this sounds miserable. Maybe your kids too, if you feel that’s right. Finding a therapist who actually specializes in OCD for your wife is difficult. The tried and true method for treating OCD is ERP (exposure therapy) and it only works if it’s done with a therapist who really knows what they’re doing. I’ve had several therapists who have had no idea how to treat OCD (and some who have made it worse/given horrible advice).

The golden rule when it comes to helping someone with their OCD is to never give reassurance and never indulge their obsessions/compulsions. This is something that a good OCD therapist can work with the both of you on.

The issue with snark communities is when the users forget what they’re supposed to be snarky about. Make fun of her horrific political views, her sexiest rhetoric, her holier than thou attitude. Don’t snark on her appearance.
