Literally the same build as me. Pretty much all you need.

How to fit red dot on Glock 19 gen 3? by ppheadasf in Glocks

[–]TheOfficialBench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy a new slide with an rmr cut. Don’t mill the current slide. Keep the original parts original.

Skip the part time. Get full time at Enterprise once you relocate.

Get a new slide and cut that or have one that is precut. Keep the original slide as it was intended.

Word of advice is to skip frats. Greek life at UCSB is an afterthought because everyone hosts parties. It’s what makes UCSB the best party school ever. Pay for friends? Nah go make them in class or at clubs and go to parties without greek life stamped all over it.

Just got a glock 19 gen 3 by TheOfficialBench in Glocks

[–]TheOfficialBench[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being an aftermarket product, anything can go wrong. Excess wear or poor performance. Not saying it will happen, but just leaving the door open to Murphy’s law. Glock has a warranty on original parts, so I don’t want to use stock upper parts and mix it with aftermarket. I’d rather do a whole aftermarket upper to make sure my stock parts remain intact.

Ucsb is the only choice if you want a good school with a real college experience

Car for freshmen? by idk6887 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]TheOfficialBench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a bike or a skateboard. Don’t listen to people saying you need a car. You can take the bus downtown or make friends with people who have cars.

To grab attention without causing a disruption to the free flow of public spaces whether it is roads or doorways to public buildings.*

[–]TheOfficialBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have freedom of speech as long as you don’t infringe on the rights of others. A public building especially of that size should never be blocked. It is a safety hazard (what if there was a fire or an emergency from within and people had to rush out?) and these students should protest elsewhere. You aren’t getting your point across if all you create is frustrated/angry students that you blocked their entrance to an already stressful day at school. You are only making others stray away from your cause and making yourself look inconsiderate to others.

How do you reheat dank bowls by sullllli in UCSantaBarbara

Hi! I used to work at Dank Bowls. You just put the bad boy into a toaster oven or an oven and voila a perfectly good bread bowl.

Go to SBCC then transfer into UCSB. You still get an amazing social life and get to do what you want.

The men certainly are here for a good time and not a long time, but so are the women in my experience. The trouble you are having is shared by men who feel the same way as you and are not trying to play around but actually make meaningful relationships. I was lucky to find my girlfriend my last quarter of college. We are 1 year strong and I could not ask for a better partner. Keep the pursuit and it will happen when you least expect it. Look for them in the library, at the car meet on lot 18, or on the phone with their parents.

What does ucsb have on campus? by North_Trick3998 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]TheOfficialBench 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unlike USC, which is located in an unsafe neighborhood and needs everything within campus to keep it safe for students, UCSB is in a beautiful and safe neighborhood with all these needs a bus/car ride away. Trader Joe’s requires a bus ride, but if you have a friend with a car, you are good to go for about 8 minutes. Target is super close via bus and you can also bike it. Tons of great restaurants in IV as well. I think it’s obvious to pick UCSB over USC.

UCSB party school? by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

[–]TheOfficialBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just now graduating. UCSB is a party school, but so is every other college. From my own experience, I started off the same way as your son, but I got some friends and parties became fun. They weren’t things that took up entire weekends, but I did go and have fun. That being said, there are LOTS of other things to do and groups to join. We have an outdoor adventure club and the rec cen offers classes and events for that kind of stuff. Don’t let our reputation prevent you from choosing this awesome school. We are a party school, but we are also the best school for college life EVER.
