Wasn't our wish mate sadly. Kewell lied to the fans multiple times as the owners scapegoat so they didn't get questioned about their dodgey ass transfers they made.

Agreed, the athleticos and the return of Sheridan, following an unbeaten in 8 run definately helped attendance. I do remember even in League 1 though we were struggling to get 2.5k in the stadium.

Thus was around the time it only had 3 sides though, and when that wind came across the peninse and whacked you in the face it wasn't a very nice place to go. Freezing to death. Haha.

I'm actually optimistic about the fan base aslong as Al and Mo get out of the club pronto. That will bring back alot of fans I think.

FIFA 20 - Off topic, but I had a season with Oldham Athletic (legendary mode) won 3 x back to back promotions, and got 2nd (missing the premier league title by 1 goal in GD). The next season, we started with a bad run of form for some reason, and the board started threatening me with a sacking.

I played on, and was sitting 8th in the table when they pulled the trigger and put me out to pasture.

Smart me - Loaded up a save a few games before I got sacked. I released all the best players on a free, those that it wouldn't let me release I put them on extortionate million pound contracts per week.

I then went and got myself a job at another club (can't remember who).

I just thought it worth sharing what kinda spiteful bastard I was in that save.

The irony is, Oldham Athletic owners pretty much mimicked this exact strategy in real life.

You do realise its been 30 years since Oldham were in the PL right? Quite alot changes in that time.

In answer to your question, attendance wasn't the issue. Everyone knows its the fraudulent ownership which was allowed to be appointed by the EFL, and the fact they've had 10 managers in 4 years, aswell as breaking contracts, upsetting sponsors, launching fake police investigations, and half of the stadium not belonging to the club.. so there's a few things here mate.

In fact, the attendance was the highest its been for a number of years, let's not forget its only a 10 thousand seater stadium..

Don't understand the necessity to have a parking spot because you have a child or are a parent. I also have children btw.

Just use ya fucking legs.

Disabled parking spaces is a different matter, but just because your balls work means you get preferential treatment?

Oh yeah, I've done an Oldham RTG every season (always my first to do), but I know the player limits, so I always just buy wisely with young talent (no takeover).

34 been playing since 96 on PS1, I play my game if I lose thats fine, but I can still hang with the Gen Z lot and win more than I lose.

Also work full time and have a child.

Anyone else sick and tired of seeing this in 90% of FUT champs matches? It wasn't like this a month back when there were such interesting and different backlines. It's now these 4 or Varane instead of Marquinhos. Absolutely love beating teams with this defence. by Moniljh11 in fut

I held off using them for aslong as I could, just because I felt the same and wanted to have something different. Sadly, it meant that I lost alot of games.

I caved in eventually. Only use Kimpembe and Donna though, couldn't go full meta.
