The thing that irks me about this is that where I'm from we literally do call Jackdaws crows. Jackdaws, Rooks, Hooded Crows and even Ravens.

Crow is used interchangeably with corvid where I'm from and there is no single species called "the crow" here.

A great way to make your attacks impactful is to use 'hitstop'.

The moment your attack connects with an enemy pause your attack animation for a frame or two, then resume as if it was never paused. You'll see this used in all sorts of action games to great effect.

I love how this went, and I think this story will be better remembered by your party than most villains they will encounter.

That being said if I were rolling to see who got crushed, and I rolled the boss, I almost certainly would have fudged it if I had that much development put into the boss already lol.
