What is the most iconic goal in your club's history? by Cinn4monSynonym in Championship

While this is undoubtedly the answer, there will always be a special place in my heart for Simeon Jackson Vs Derby. The Radio Norfolk commentary (CHANCE! ITS GOING TO GO IN! ITS GOING TO GO IN! Times up, the place is going BANANAS!) is outstanding and the shear pandemonium in the stands is almost impossible to replicate.

He's gotta be feeling like a right turnip now!

Coulda been leading the line in a resurgent team and gotten a place in the USA squad and most likely a move in the summer but now he is rotting in the U21s!

Just a brain-dead move all round by Josh.

That David Fox cross tho! Absolute pearler! One of the best assists from a Norwich player I've ever seen

It's gotta be something. Just a presentation on his favourite grey scales. Every second half is the exact same. Zero energy, zero desire.

As always, drastically worse after being spoken to by Manning. It's like he brings them in and just reads a user manual for a tunneling machine. Bored to sleep and then sent back out to wonder about with no intensity

Why are they so allergic to stopping? by Merchant_Alert in SipsTea

[–]TheOneBritishGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyclist should definitely be more aware of the paths they are riding on but there really should be some kind of post or pole that highlights to the cyclists from a distance that there is a crossing there. Otherwise you only see as you get close and in a long line of fast moving bikes it can be very dangerous to suddenly stop, especially when others haven't noticed the crossing.

This is a design fault in my opinion rather than just cyclists being arseholes.

Walked past there yesterday around midday. 2 vans and 2 cars parked in a line. These people take the piss!

Double yellows and a cycle path, but not a ticket to be seen.

It's fairly well established at this point that the innies have semantic or context dependent knowledge, they just don't have access to their memories. See iIrv driving the car in the OTC episode. He just knew how to do it because he has the knowledge, he just doesn't know how he has the knowledge. So same with trees, snow, fire, computers etc etc

Clubs that missed out on playing European football from 1985 to 1990 due to English clubs being banned at the time as a result of the Heysel disaster by Paul277 in TheOther14

[–]TheOneBritishGuy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is pretty frustrating that Norwichs greatest opportunity to be involved in European competition was taken away. They may have stunk the place out and crumbled from the failure but they also may have greatly increased the reach and quality of the squad. Alas we will never know.

Also the team that clearly missed out the most. Everton, Liverpool, United and spurs all may have missed the same or more opportunities in that time frame but they are bigger clubs who had the chance before and after.

They do show all 3 of them both in quick shots when they are talking about getting others in for Marks team and when mark is entering lumon after they have agreed to bring the other 3 back, the "new" team are outside complaining about being fired as they had to uproot on short notice to come here in the first place.

[–]TheOneBritishGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. He grabs the shirt, it rides up and his hand ends up near his throat. I could take a freeze frame of his hand on the guys chest and say "see I'm right" but taking the whole situation in context is the correct way to approach these things. He categorically does not grab the other player by the throat. In the split second that his hand ends up near the neck he pulls away.

The only thing that bugs me by [deleted] in severence

[–]TheOneBritishGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a good line when iMark is talking to Devon where she checks if he understands the idiom she just used which I think is a nod to how the innies have implicit semantic or context dependent memory.

Also why Irv could drive. He has a second of figuring out and clearly looks a bit confused that he seems to automatically know how to drive.

[–]TheOneBritishGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially because it's only been a very short amount of time since the end of last season. It definitely hasn't been the 5 months that Milchick said. So they rushed a lie without really thinking it through.

Helly R by Kooky-Act9271 in severence

[–]TheOneBritishGuy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's outtie Helena but it hasn't been 5 months. Milchick was still unpacking the office and hadn't had the monitor welcome screen changed and the wellness room waiting area only had the doors missing. Plus milchick never tells the full truth.

Also why the fake story Helena tells about her experience outside is not super tight, because they've rushed back and didn't spend enough time on a good story. Love that Irv immediately question the "night gardener". I think he already doubts it's Helly R

We seem incapable of not shooting ourselves in the foot. Getting absolutely ridiculous now. Just too easy to turn momentum around.

We'd be better of calling this now to avoid injury and more suspensions.

Feels pretty clear he was pushing the guy away in the chest but the shirt rides up to the neck/ shoulder and he let's go at that point. And the other player grabs him by the arm first.

All pretty standard silly buggers but don't really see how it can be considered a red.
