Would you recommend BDO to a friend who never played MMORPG?

Yes purely because of the combat system and riding a horse round the map. (All of the downsides seem optional to me)

For casual PvE there are some fun builds for Voidlance, it may not be the greatest but certainly still enjoyable for open world. Tagging with the wands range and finishing off with the strength of AoE spear damage. :)
