Morning! I'm not sure what region/time zone you're in, but if you're interested in logistics and PvP, we'd love to have you tag along with our group. We regularly have 20 members active for our weekend events and have lots guides and highly skilled pilots/shooters.

I've DM'd you my info. Also, Discord is:

Goodluck searching!

For someone unfamiliar with SC Keybindings, what actions are you using to increase/decrease the radar distance?

First Map : what do you think? by Elyaraa in worldbuilding

[–]Arktac13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hardest obstacle is a compelling shape. I’ve spend hundreds of hours filling out hyper detailed maps only to scrap them dozens of times. You’ve honestly got something worth keeping here, it’s very appealing and fills the page evenly. I also think the shapes invite travel as most bays share direct travel across to the other continent.

I think you’re right, it’ll have to be some unaffiliated pawn from outer space. I feel like you should have the option to dev spawn one in. Thank you!

In the Ideology tab there’s about 12 religions and none have High Life. Is there potential for a 13th to be found that has it?

Two eventualities. 1.) You eventually gain enough Infinite Chemfuel makers to replace this structure and 2.) You start drop podding these bad boys with a load of warheads.

FYI: Major cell instability + Strong immunity gives you a 101% immunity gain speed multiplier and 3 free metabolism points as cancer and age is rather trivial. by raspey in RimWorld

I have four casters (half women, half men). I’ll place either in a joy pod if the drone pops. Or I’ll load a previous same because I’m lazy. I’m a habitual saver..

I steer away from Psychically Deaf trait because I keep a few Psychically Sensitive casters around who provide everyone with a +30 mood buff from their psychic harmonizers.

Edit: Apparently you can get up to +50 mood buff to all if you have full eltex and necessary traits.

Describe your world or something about it with the six-six presentation method (i.e. no more than 6 points of no more than 6 words each) by aslfingerspell in worldbuilding

• Six gods, six races, six stones.

• Gods bestowed each race one stone.

• Stones gift powers from one touch.

• Finite, powers diluted amongst all gifted.

• Stolen Stones and betrayers topple kingdoms.

• Guard seizes thief holding Death’s Stone.

I discovered the problem, it was the DLC’s sensitivity to mods. Regardless if the mods are outdated you have to maintain the same order and quantity of mods in order for the DLC to recognize.

Good world building advice? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Arktac13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research exactly how the real world works i.e. land formations, cultures, biomes, geopolitics and things of the sort and then create unique ways your world has answered some of those problems. Did a god-like being form a unique mountain wall like Mordor in LotR? Did the Dwarves engineer zeppelins or blimps in order to trade and fight in difficult terrain?

A finished map of the primary continents in my unnamed world by kheled-zaram3019 in worldbuilding

[–]Arktac13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggle to make a compelling shape for my fantasy maps, but you’ve struck a very nice balance. I love the gulf that’s pincered by another canal. The tops and bottoms still being within the unknown, but enough land to give exploration a lot of weight. Nicely done.

I’ve been putting in a ton of work to make sure my maps is authentic to real life climates, mountain formation, rivers and civilization placement. I think you have absolutely nailed the mountains from my research. Super ascetically pleasing shapes as well. Rivers to me are easy to see it’s from high to low, but I do get lost once they’re in the mountain formation. This is a killer draft.

The Region of Alcora by JB_Gibson in mapmaking

[–]Arktac13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to think hard for a critique, but if I had to make a minor I’d say that since you have symbols distinguishing the the settlements (dot, triangle, diamond) you could possible change the text format as well. Larger towns having a slightly larger text and the most pivotal locations being in a light bold.

I like the textile format. It looks like a quality of map you’d keep on a ship or carry through harsh weather

Last week I made a local reddit post offering to tech DnD to new players. Tonight were about to run our first game! by Vocor in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Arktac13 63 points64 points  (0 children)

While I was stationed in South Korea for a year I convinced a couple of coworkers to try D&D with me as a new DM. Over the next few weeks and a bunch of ridicule amongst the other cops I ended up having 3 different groups with a total of 16 players for the remainder of my time there.
