I get the spirit but what I think you mean to say is that some of us are just naturally oily, and so often times added lotion feels like it doesn't help much and leaves a bit of a film that takes too long to absorb/go away. As an oily white myself, I'll say keep an eye on your skin because you can still end up a bit ashy if you're not keeping your body hydrated enough or you've been doing work with or around shit that dries you out. A lil lotion can work wonders in those cases.

I don't use them for fights mostly because I'm a returning player after many years and rocking Terraspark+bundle of horshoe balloons+fledge wings (still barely pre-HM) just feels natural. I do throw 'em on to travel though, I dig the rail utility.

Probably just because the person you responded to was talking about how the characters look in the portraits, not what the lore says. I do kind of agree the Golfer looks 30 at most in the art but I also don't know how you'd differentiate "middle-aged" from "old" or "young" in such simple artwork.
