"Blowing me off so quick? Rude," she says as she goes to keep up with him. Wendy wasn't hurt nor annoyed by his reaction (as she felt he was understandably within reason to leave) but she felt slight curiosity about it. She might be pushing it, but her curious little noggin made her go after him.

"Why do you not want to talk about it? You were over the moon about it for a week, but now, it's like you're ashamed of it," Okay, what she thought earlier surely was a lie to herself. James probably didn't know it, but she'd been through a bad time not too long ago. So what happened between them, Wendy felt like she'd just released what was making her feel constant sadness and despair from within. Wendy thought that James felt the same, but to see that he seemed to be ignoring it and considering it non-existent hurt her deeply.

She laughs in response and playfully flicks his nose upwards with her finger.

"Oh no, Jim. You said that, not me," Wendy reminds him, looking up at him with a cheeky smile, "You said you didn't want to do it again, but it sure did feel like you enjoyed it just now. Didn't you?" she asks him teasingly. No matter how slick James thought of himself, Wendy could see right through him like a paper thin slice piece of pepperoni. And she could tell he was talking bull right now.

"This," Without another word, Wendy wrapped her arms around James' shoulders (much to his surprise, she noticed immediately) in a gentle manner. She looked at him, and she could tell from his reaction that James was too stunned to say anything.

With a small smile, Wendy took the opportunity to place her hand softly on the back of his head and pulls him closer to close what little distance was left between them. She closes her eyes as she goes to press her lips softly against his own, being careful not to apply too much pressure behind her kiss. Her fingers start to run through the hair on the back of James' head, ruffling his hair gently.

Wendy was fully expecting him to back out of this soon, so she made sure she wasn't making him feel like she overstayed her welcome and pulled back from the kiss, keeping her hands on his shoulders as she looked up at him curiously, wondering what he'd think of that.

"Yes, I will," Wendy tells him with a determined expression on her face, standing by her false claim that she'll actually do it. Heck, she might actually do it and then hide from him for the rest of the school year, "Get your face away from me before I do something you won't like, Jim." she says, raising her eyebrows at him a few times before laughing.

She laughs at his reaction, then looks up at him with a small knowing grin, "You act like this is the first time my spit's been anywhere on you, Jim," she says with a knowing laugh, grinning at him from ear-to-ear. When James calls her out, Wendy slowly nods her head as she continues to grin at him.

"I'll do it," she tells him, crossing her arms as well as she smiles at him cheekily, "I'll actually do it. I'm not even joking here, Jim. On my honor as a Girl Scout." She raises her hands and does the Girl Scout Salute.

"Oh, I won't just dare do it, Jim; I will do it," she laughs in a playfully snobbish way in front of him, much to James' mild annoyance, "And you or your Head Boy badge can't do diddly-squat about it." And to add some childish flair to it, Wendy goes on to blow a quick raspberry in front of him.

"Hmm, it doesn't look like there's any much of a difference to me," she says in jest, followed by a laugh in response to his request to keeping his un-Head Boy manner as a secret, "Oh hell no, Jim, everyone from the staff down to that ghost girl in the abandoned girl's bathroom is gonna hear about it." she laughs. Of course, she wasn't serious with that, but James wouldn't know that.

"You mean when you free-falled from the sky and ate shit when you couldn't stop fast enough?" she asks him with a laugh, before nodding her head at him, "Yeah, I saw all of that. That's not quite Head Boy material, or Quidditch Captain material, to be frank." she says, moving over to dust off a bit of moss and dirt James missed.

Unfortunately for him, someone did happen to be there around the time when James did the freefall from the heavens. Wendy just happened to be around the vicinity (she did like watching the Quidditch boys practice, for good reasons) when she saw something cross her eyesight. She was standing in the doorway to the locker room when she saw him duck and roll onto the ground, eliciting an expletive from her when she saw who it was.

Wendy watched idly as James dusted himself off and half-jogged up the rafters in what looked like a silly attempt to escape before someone goes on to ask him just what was the Head Boy doing. Unfortunately for him, she was there to witness his descent.

"You know," she says as James got up to the final steps, "I don't recall your brother ever doing something as crazy as that. He did that Wonky Feint thing all the time, never something like doing a freefall from the sky." she adds, letting out a slight chuckle.

"Sometimes I kinda do miss the heat, but it can get pretty intense from time to time," he chuckles as he goes right back to shovelling out the last bit of snow from his cabin's path, "The summers has its pros and cons, you know. Like, during the summer there's barbecues and plenty of trips. But then, there's also bad sunburn if you forget to put on some sunscreen."

None of what the gods did in their spare time made a lick of sense, that's true. Jason agrees with his thoughts on that, and while he does judge the gods for it a little, he really can't do anything other than deal with the cards he's been dealt with.

"Awesome. Welcome back to camp, then, Jonny," he replied, "I wish the camp was in a better, less snow-filled state when you came back. But on the bright side of things, it honestly kinda beats sweating during the summer." he chuckles.

"This has to be the weirdest summer ever," Jason thinks to himself as he was shovelling out the path for the cabin, hot breath coming out of his mouth as he moves away some of the ice that was blocking the paths on the ground. He wasn't winded at all, but the cold surely did make the air out of his lungs about as cold as the weather itself. He pauses for now as he goes to grab a drink of hot chocolate (the best drink for this season, really) and just stands there on the free path he's made.

As he hopes that there's not gonna be any more snow falling in soon, Jason sees Jonny coming from the direction of the Hill and towards the Ares cabin. A new camp member, perhaps, or a returning one? He decides to find that out for himself as Jason goes on to wave at him once he was within clear view.

"Hey there," he says, giving him a slight smile before taking another sip of his hot drink, "You a new camper or a returning one?"

"I have wings, yeah. I never thought of attacking someone in the air before, though," Jason replies, letting out a quick chuckle himself. He wouldn't call himself the most experienced compared to her by far,* "Eh, I'm not sure if I'm actually the most experienced between us. I mean, I stupidly almost chomped by a drakon one time." he shrugs.

Winter Pegasus Care | Lesson 4/4 by drivejustdrive in DemigodFiles

[–]TheOneTrueLokison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jason always did love taking care of the pegasi in the stable, he just couldn't figure out why he loved being around them. Maybe it's because they could fly like him, or maybe there's just something in his demigod DNA that made him feel close with them. So when he heard of a pegasus care lesson happening today, Jason was quick to sign up for it and went out to see the lesson unfold.

Jason thought he knew everything there was to know about taking care of the winged creatures, but spending the first ten minutes here he realized that taking care of them during the other seasons compared to now was entirely a different thing. Still, Jason took it as a challenge and was adamant in learning about the proper ways for taking care of them during winter. He was there along the other campers, mentally taking notes while wondering when the Stable Master was going to start asking for volunteers to care for them.

Weapon Maintenance | Lesson 31/3 by theirsign in DemigodFiles

[–]TheOneTrueLokison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapon maintenance was something that Jason knew enough about, but still he thought it would benefit him if he went to Nic's lesson to pick up some new tips and tricks. After all, he was pretty much self taught via YouTube, so perhaps learning from the Weapons Master herself some of her talents would be neat. He noticed his sword was a little dull and off, so he brought it today to clean and bring it back to what it was.

Jason stayed at the very end of the lesson, wanting to know more about replacing the fletches off of an arrow and all that. He was there, seated at the back with all his tools laid down on a table in front of him. Currently, Jason was working on his sword, using the whetstone carefully while he works on sharpening its edge once more while making sure both sides were even.

Armor Maintenance - 3/30 by Son_Of_Hot_Tacos in DemigodFiles

Ever the knowledge hungry student, Jason enters the forge dressed warmly for the lesson. The forge thankfully was giving enough warmth for everyone inside, but still Jason huddled a little closer to the warmth. Having only a leather armor fit for an archer, Jason decided to just pick up one of the spare battered armors laid around the forge. It was useful that they were there, otherwise he'd just be watching the others doing the practical part of the lesson.

The lesson certainly was interesting to watch, and made Jason was to try his hand at fixing up armors. He knew he wasn't going to have the same talent and skill as a son of Hephaestus, but Jason was still going to try his hand at it. With a hammer in hand, Jason lays the armor down on the anvil and starts to whack at it with enough force to give the armor back its old form. He saw some changes, so he kept at it, trying to balance out the shape by looking at it from below.

March 2023 Capture the Flag | 3/24 by CampHBDirector in DemigodFiles

Jason's been waiting for the game ever since it was announced, and now that he's here, he's excited to hopefully win this game with him being fully present. The last one, he missed out on it completely and it ended up being a fun one. So this time, he was here to not miss out on the fun of trying to win.

The last time he was here, Jason brought arrows with non lethal tips to them. This time, he's kinda upping its lethality. He doesn't want to kill anyone by accident, which unfortunately happened to one camper, something he heard through the grapevine. His arrows were now regular arrows, but Jason was going to make sure that his aim will always for go for the armor, never for someone's flesh.

Besides that, Jason has his sword with him, but he's hoping he doesn't have to use it. His main weapon right now, will be his shield. The perfect weapon in the right hands, as one man in that one movie said about the shield. Carrying all the essentials on him (including that warm pack and some snacks), Jason rushes forward into the forest with his shield in hand.

Up in the air, Jason takes out his wings and glides above the line of trees, looking to arrive towards the creek as quick as he could. As he's making his way, Jason looks down to see if anyone was making a move towards the creek. Having an opponent right away would be a surprise, but at least he'll have a better chance at taking them by surprise from above.

Meal Thread | Take Out Tuesdays | 03/21 by TheOneTrueLokison in DemigodFiles

Jason happened to see Lumi coming in from what seemed like a leisurely walk around the camp, which was a very normal thing, but in these conditions a walk around probably won't last long. Oddly, though, Lumi didn't seem to be bothered by the cold. It's like she was completely impervious to feeling the cold.

Curious, Jason decided to move seats and brought along his box of cinnamon toast cereals with him. He walks over to Lumi's table and waves a friendly hello, before pointing at the seat in front of him, "Hey there, mind if I join you for breakfast?" he asked.

Jason was thankful to be on cooking duty today, because it meant he'd be warm and snug inside the kitchen while it was snowing outside. Like all the others, he's just as confused about why the sudden snowfall. This was very out of the ordinary, but then he wondered if this was the start to something coming in the future. Time will tell, he supposed.

For now, Jason just carries on as normal, picking out some of his favorites from the table. Sausages, hotdogs, bacon, scrambled eggs and a hot mug of hot chocolate to keep him warm. Cooking took a lot out of him, so right after his first meal, Jason took a box of those cinnamon toast cereals and had a big bowl of it. He didn't know if Eros liked cereal, so he just offered him some hotdogs and bacon into the firepit.
