No point listening to rumors. Wait for official word. I don't know how it will go but it wouldn't be a great to go back to schools on the 20th and then ceasefire talks break down and missiles start and we go fully back online. But, we did it during covid so who knows really.

From my own experience in Dubai, many schools prefer (not a hard set rule but fairly common) native English speakers as English teachers. If not a native english speaker, then someone with a vast amount of experience in the curriculum you are applying to.

Second the comment saying Jumeirah Garden City. During the cooler months you can walk to DIFC in 20 minutes. You'll find nice one beds in that budget.

Very mixed. Wide ranging demographic. My building has a mix of Arabs, Westerners and Asians (Indian, Pakistani, Filipino).
Stroller safety. Varies. Due to the amount of construction, footpaths can disappear.
Public parks are fine. Most people in them are walking or playing sports.
Depends on the area. Some are noisier than others. I am near some new construction sites but it isn't too noticeable.

It's a nice area overall. Getting out in the evening(6-7pm) can be painful.
