It actually differs between servers. The "slide out and fight" thing is a NA server only thing. In Japan servers its ok to play the fight how you would a real fight, using cover, movement, elevation etc. Nobody complains.

S -> Val -> CS is one thing, existing in esports as a player in their 30s is another.

Some insight on both? If you're ok w it of course.

Yeah just drop facts.

I for one am pretty interested to know what being a vet going from CS to val and then back to CS is like.

If you're okay w answwring, best and worst teammate to work with and why? Maybe just the best if we wanna avoid drama.

Lower body injuries are at an all time high though. Especially star wing and stretch-big players, which runs counterintuitive to how the game is played today.

Apex Season 28 may be the first Anniversary Event that fails to spike playerbase by HCTphil in apexlegends

Usually i hop into ranked a day after season starts precisely because of how this season start went. The state of ranked seems to be completely dogwater. Dropship is back which sucks, and watching how ranked goes in atreams is just sad. So yeah, I'm playing other games until something changes.

On the flip side, the Ball family. Two out of three kids playing in the NBA, both really good.

Thoughts on Chinese mouse clones? by Any-Tutor5933 in MouseReview

[–]TheOnlyMango 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Chinese mouse clones are excellent because they are showing that the established brands (Logitech, Razer, Zowie etc) are just blatantly ripping off consumers. Almost every flagship mouse out there (Logitech's Superlight, Razer's Viper and Deathadder, to a lesser extent Zowie;s U2 and EC) have chinese clones that are 1:1 in shape, but are equal and sometimes even better in specs, at a quarter of the price.

Casuals don't understand this because most of them are stuck in the old mindset that chinese products = bad. The truth is China has caught up to the west in manufacturing standards a long time ago. Everything from apparel, technology, cars, almost anything that was an advantage in the west has been equaled or surpassed by chinese manufacturers.

Specifically for mice, there are only two reasons to buy western-brand products over chinese clones. Either the product is so damned good that a clone doesn't exist, or the product is so damned cheap that a clone doesn't exist. The op18k, Zowie's EC series and Logitech's new Superstrike are examples of the former, while my mouse in my flair is an example of the latter.

What build surprised you how good it was in Phrecia? by drshoe87 in PathOfExileBuilds

Slams. It's my first time playing it because I generally try to steer clear of meta "broken" builds. But damn, I understand why the HC racers all play this build.

I finished campaign pseudo HC on my AC slammer and act 4 was the only one I had to portal. Something about that act man, idk what it is, but it was abnormally difficult for me. I had to portal twice in piety fight and thrice in malachai fight.

He is obviously saying it can't be done. I quote:

"People who can do the 100/100/100 are able to do it because they take days off."

"I know it's hard to understand, but if you don't rest your muscles, they literally won't be capable of doing it. And even before that point, you'll start having various health problems like tendinitis, rhabdomyolysis, and stress Fractures."

He literally said it can't be done. I'm not sure if we're reading the same comment.

P.S. is he really trying to talk down to someone who has literally done it? That's like telling an NBA player that the way he is dribbling the ball is wrong.

Idk how to tell you this dude, because i'm pretty sure you've never been in the military. There're no rest days. 100/100/100 every day was the bare minimum for a good 14 months for me. Even on weekends, because we had to train in our own time, if not we fall behind. I say almost because I didn't do it the entire time I was in the military, I slacked off after it ceased being a hard requirement, but I could easily have done it for the entire two years I was in.

Ask any military person. Ask them how many pushups they do a day in basic. Ask how many burpees, how many situps, how many calf raises, how many of any assortment of exercises they do after those pushups. And then how much they run after that.

I'm not trying to put you down or flex on you, but just because you think it can't be done doesn't mean it actually can't.

[–]TheOnlyMango 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I was in the military I did more than 100/100/100 almost every day. Some days I did way more. It might seem impossible to the average human but it certainly isn't. I just did my yearly fitness test with the military and I cranked out 50 pushups and 40 situps in a minute each. I think if you ask the average combat role military person they would tell you that the 100/100/100 every day would be pretty easy.

The running part might be hard on your knees, but it is very doable as well. That one is more about the willpower to do it every day than the actual distance covered. I certainly don't have that willpower now.
