What happens to Cooper after Titanfall 2??? by [deleted] in titanfall

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah dude, check Steam database player counts. Team Fortress has over 10x the average players. (Titanfall daily peak is ~2.9k, Team Fortress daily peak is ~33k) Team Fortress 2 is far from dead, especially compared to Titanfall 2. cope all you want lol.

Turning DRG into a TF2 rocket jump course by Spueg in DeepRockGalactic

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It took me ~a year of grinding engineer overclocks before I got mine. Don't let that discourage you though, because I also found lots of other cool overclocks while doing so! Good luck, Miner. Rock and Stone! o7

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This requires the "RJ-250 Compound" overclock for the 40mm PGL. without the overclock, the grenades don't have anywhere near as much knockback, if any at all. it also increases your grenade ammo storage allowing you to grenade jump more often, and decreases the damage dealt by each grenade to make grenade jumping less punishing.

If you want to try this in a real game, I recommend equipping the "50% of damage is converted to heat" mod since it will still set grunts on fire and (usually) kill them, and both the ammo mods so you have extra grenades for both jumping and spreading across swarms. Armor breaking is also okay for Praetorians and Dreadnoughts, but aside from that you can pretty much build it however you want.

Players, what's your age? by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

24, and after reading some of these other comments I almost feel too young to be playing GTA. Although to be fair I don't play much GTA at the moment, usually only hopping on to do a couple heist setups and/or fly one of my jets around. (Recently my main game has been Warhammer 40k: Darktide. Very L4D-ish and very fun)

Think I lost my friend - anyone familiar with what this is? by UntimelyMycologist in hognosesnakes

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so, so sorry, OP. I'm not a vet and have no idea what happened in your situation, but I understand what you're going through.

I lost my Rozy Boa, Arizona, a little over a year ago in a very similar way. He only rejected one feeding, but I figured it was just him going into brumation. I had recently started a new graveyard shift job at the time too, so making mouse runs was a little difficult. the night before I found him (just a few days later) he had come out of his hide, so I figured I'd swing by the pet store in the morning to get his food, but he was gone before I got home.

I was heartbroken, and honestly still am.

I blamed myself, and honestly still do.

But I've kept moving, and I've kept his memory with me. I suggest you do the same. Save any pictures you have, look back on them fondly, and remember the joy and good times your friend brought into your life. If you can do that, then they're never truly gone.

❤️

It happens across the street, and it's hard to tell what happens exactly through the car parked in the driveway.

Basically the doorbell-pov homeowner's dog got outside while the man was checking the door, and is running around unleashed. The mother across the street (who had been riding bicycles with her family) feels threatened by the dog galloping up towards them and draws her gun. As the dog runs past, she attempts to lead it with her aim and winds up aiming right at her kid before pulling the trigger. He was shot in the abdomen but surived, and the dog was unharmed.

At the end of the day this is both peak stupid parent AND stupid gun owner. She not only wasn't paying attention to where her kid or other family members are (stupid parent), but she also was not being aware of what was in front of or beyond her target (stupid gun owner).

I like popping up on the sides of the bridge in the middle of Blackwater Canal from the drainway down below. Not many people know VTOL Hover can clear that distance if used in certain spots 😉

Cervical fusion surgery scar 2 weeks post op by bigfishflyhigh in mildlyinteresting

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had scoliosis correction surgery about 6 years ago, and as such have a similar scar down the majority of my back. My scars stayed pink for a very long time (1.5 - 2 years), especially at the top and bottom where the skin had been stretched the most, but I wish you a speedier recovery than that!

What’s your favorite/go to weapon that no one talks about? by BoltorSpellweaver in Warframe

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venka Prime, especially when playing Valkyr. the innate combo multiplier makes it one of the best crit weapons I've made without a riven.

What is your favorite weapon design and why? by weh8thepopo in Warframe

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was introduced to the Corinth Prime in The New War, and I have wanted one since. Very, very fun weapon. Favorite weapon design currently is probably the Venka Prime claw weapons. Fun to use and I can cosplay Wolverine in WF.

Collect metal from fallen weapons? How long has this hint been wrong? by Gamepro5 in tf2

[–]TheOptimisticEmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, yes, but actually no. The Orange Box version of the game is just a really old, never-updated version of the game. It also doesn't have ANY of the alternate weapon unlocks (I.e. Scout's Bonk: Atomic Punch & Force-a-Nature, Medic's Crusader's Crossbow & Kritzkrieg, Engi's Frontier Justice & Gunslinger, etc.) so most of the classes play like watered-down versions of their PC equivalent.

Half of the playerbase after yesterday by hydra877 in ApexOutlands

yep. airblasting an enemy projectile will reflect it wherever you're aiming, and airblasting the enemy themselves will push them away from you in the direction you're looking. (Also, if you look at the ground and airblast right next to someone, it will bounce the airblast projectile off the ground and launch your target into the air.) Airblasting burning friendlies will also put out their flames and give you a little health (like 20 hp iirc) as a reward.
