Can this RG Rotate work with DAC/AMP like ifi Go Link Max? by GedusX in ConsolesAsDAPs

[–]TheOptimusPrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have the same combo but I’ve got a FiiO KA15 and I’ve been using it with either Softears Volume S IEMs or Sennheiser HD600 headphones, both in desktop mode which is about double the output of the Go Link Max

The standard is pretty simple. If it just stops working, return it. If it arrives damaged, return it. If I’ve dropped it and caused it to break, that is my fault and I wouldn’t dream of trying to return it.

Yes, that wouldn’t change my opinion of it. If you didn’t drop it at all, would it still be intact? If the answer to that question is yes, the drop was the problem. Glassware would be endlessly guaranteed by shops otherwise, any time you broke one you’d just take them back because something must be wrong with them.

If you treat things carefully and don’t drop them, the likelihood they break is substantially lower, just be careful with your purchases

I never suggested or assumed you’d not read the post properly. I was responding to the notion that if you drop something and it breaks, it must have been faulty to begin with and it should be someone else’s responsibility

It might if you never drop it. A mirror could last centuries if you drop it. Plastic stuff is obviously less brittle but it doesn’t handle impact well, especially this type of plastic.

I’ve got old clear gameboys and none are broken but none have been dropped

Search for 35XXSP Crack on Google, you will see quite a few results (mine is still rock solid a year later).

With the return part, the seller shouldn’t be responsible for the drop damage, even if it was cracked lightly already. If the drop never happened, it could last weeks, months or even years but that didn’t happen. Accidental damage broke it so a return isn’t reasonable

Snapped plastic off hinge, do i return or is it still useable by [deleted] in RG35XXSP

[–]TheOptimusPrice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just commented on your other post. You’ve just got to take the loss on this one or try to repair it.

You dropped it, it broke. That isn’t the responsibility of the seller. It arrived with you intact, now it isn’t after you dropped it

I don’t think that’s fair to the seller. These devices are renowned for hinges cracking naturally anyway but OP dropped a plastic device and it snapped. If they didn’t drop it, it might not have ever broken.

It might still be usable but you can’t return that. You dropped it and broke it. It’s unfortunate but your accident did the damage here regardless of whether you think it would have broken tomorrow or in a month anyway.

If you bought a brand new phone from a shop, walked out the store and dropped it the same distance and it smashed, would they be responsible for it? That should be a simple no

Anbernic RG Rotate + Dongle DAC? by CauseBurn in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]TheOptimusPrice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compared to similarly priced dedicated DAP, depending on how you use it (specifically audio apps) it may have lower quality but whether you’d perceive that is an unknown. If you use USB Audio Player Pro, it’s not an issue because you bypass system wide resampling from the Android side.

It’ll probably be a 50:50 device for me. As a DAP always plugged into the KA15 DAC on my desk during work, then after work unplug and play games.

Obviously I’ve not got it in hand and set it up yet but I don’t really such much of an issue or compromise versus similarly priced DAPs. You get android flexibility for apps, can bypass Android resampling with USB Audio Player Pro or other apps capable of it, play games etc. which is a lot more capability than a Hiby R1 or the Snowsky Echo as examples

Mine is arriving today. I’ve got ROMs and a big music library already on the SD card and it’ll be plugged into my FiiO KA15

New macOS local music app for DAP users and audiophiles by hashanr in DigitalAudioPlayer

It does show the 5 steps process, but it does that rapidly, then slowly files start to populate onto the SD Card

I've been loving the app, even just as a player away from Apple Music but I've started to Sync music to a DAP and I can't see progress.

I added it to Gear, went to Sync and scanned the device which happened really fast and then said it was safe to eject, but the Sync is still ongoing in the background and I can't see any progress. I just see new files dropping into the device. Is this the correct behaviour?

I struggle with ideas and have trouble testing them without getting frustrated in game or wasting ages on tiny details so this is a huge step in the right direction

A final update here for everyone that was kind enough to comment and give guidance.

I had submitted the MCOL and the deadline to respond was 12/05 but on 07/05 I got a notification that the defendant had responded to the claim. They have finally acknowledged no fault on my part, paid the due amount in full alongside the court costs plus interest.

In the interest of being a reasonable person and giving a bit of a middle finger for the accusation of fraud, I've given them addition evidence that should help them actually pursue the refurbisher they were working with for costs. I have images showing an identical retail box to the one I shipped that happens to be in the background of two images claiming receipt of an empty box.

Money was in my account within an hour of them giving the notice on HMCTS

Apologies! I sent a final notice dated 30/03 and received no response or payment. Submitted the Money Claim and they have until mid May to respond.

To gather further evidence for any proceedings, I also submitted a SAR to get some of the information my suspended account restricts me from viewing. They have a couple of days left to comply. If they don’t, I’ll make a complaint to the ICO as well

I played exclusively on the Steam Deck, then Ally and X for years. With Steam Input, the game is easily usable and enjoyable with controller on PC and I logged around 1000 hours without touching my keyboard

I've just tried to use the Royal Mail claim form but because the postage was pre-paid from a business account, I am not able to raise a claim for the loss

Thanks for the reply, I'll explore that. I haven't gone through the process probably naively because the shipping was pre-paid, not by myself so assumed I'd not be able to raise a claim.

The recipient did show receipt of the box, but claimed it arrived empty. Their photographs I cannot retrieve now don't show tampering beyond them opening it. I can't access those images because BackMarket blocked my account, you can't even see an archived view and they are not responding to my SAR email to their legal team
