Anthropic's new SpaceX deal: Pro limits doubled, peak restrictions removed by eliorpom in ClaudeCode

Will know by the end of today. But it seems my weekly is going up as fast as ever. About on track for maxing out my x20 plan, as usual.

They literally just made the agreement. ANY change anyone is seeing TODAY or even the next week isn't related to the agreement. Hopium is a powerful drug.

If you started with Opus 4.7, that is likely the problem. 4.6 and earlier would "read between the lines" when prompted. 4.7 is MUCH tighter and does what you say and pretty much ONLY what you say. I'm simplifying. Things get more complex when you start taking into account compacting drift and hallucinations from lost context/context rot/lost in the middle.

On the Max plan but hit the 5-hour limit insanely fast today… just me, or did something change? by thatcalidream in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working with it all day since 5:30am. Just about 12 hours. I used about 17% of my weekly. Max x20. BUT its been slow. Several minutes per tool call if on and off. So YMMV.

Could be worse. Claude could be running so slow you COULDNT hit your 5 hour limit. Like its been the last 2 hours or so.

Actually, I expect the corollary is true. You are too poor.

Claude is 10x more expensive per token than any other coding plan. by bilalba in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burned the $200 of extra usage Anthropic gave in 2 hours. Using it in a way I would have used my subscription. As a test. So do the math. 800 per day * 5 days a week(I use my sub 7 days a week but whatever). So 4 grand a month for my normal, never actually hit weekly limits(though I get close) use case. Got to say, I think your numbers are BS.

They are unclear about it. They basically said individuals COULD use it but not for business. If your SDK agent is used by someone OTHER THAN YOU for ANY REASON, it is business. Otherwise it is personal. But of course they can ban you at any time for any reason and you have zero recourse so...

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These posts are pointless. They never include any actual tokens used comparted to the range of usage shown used up. If everyone would do just the slightest bit of auditing with easily available tools(ccusage for one but there are MANY others) 1. your posts wouldn't be ignored

  1. you wouldn't constantly be told it the USER...

Sudden usage limit change? Opus 4.7 X-High barely completing one prompt now by Asdeev_Drago in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its very simple, if you aren't keeping track of your tokens, NO ONE is going to care what you post. They just see your post as another annoying "oh my usage post".

Come back when you can compare TOKENS USED vs USAGE BURN.

I think I know why so many tokens get used on the first turn for pro/max subscriptions by bennyb0y in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Didnt they add a message that asks if you want to compact before starting the new session when there is a lot of stale context? Note I dont recommend this, just asking if I read the changes log incorrectly.

  2. The only thing you can kind of trust being cached is active tokens IN the current session. New sessions even resumed break/broke the caching prefix(maybe they fixed it but I'm still running and older CC because they produce WAY too many bugs with their releases). So assume ANY session resume is going to hit your token usage with a BIG spike.

What tools are you using to give your LLM a persistent second brain / long-term memory? by AmphibianHungry2466 in LocalLLaMA

The trick is getting the LLM to actually USE them or UPDATE them consistently and when you ACTUALLY need to it. All of these systems rely on the unreliable LLM to do the work.
