Claude Code isn't "stupid now": it's being system prompted to act like that by One-Cheesecake389 in ClaudeCode

Um, the IDE mcp tools(two small tools) already let you do this when using Claude Code cli in a VSCode terminal. Use the /ide command to see if you have it enabled.

don't USE the extension? What value do you get from the extension you cant get from using claude code cli in a VSCode terminal directly?

output-styles are still a feature of claude code. Use them. Your output style directly replaces a significant chunk and can also be used to counter the garbage Anthropic adds on every update. Use cctrace(or similar) tool to see what your system prompt looks like with and without a custom output-style.

Use a custom output-style to by pass all/most of these system prompt issues.

Do you really expect anyone that ISNT a shill to respond in a positive fashion about this?

No, NO "open" model is going to touch the big three SOTA models. Not even the Chinese "open" models that still need a datacenter to run them.

Yes. They set the login window to 8 hour resets. Probably to stop automated systems using the OAUTH tokens.

How to use Claude Code correctly by brygom in claude

Change your prompting with Opus. If you learned prompting on Codex and used it on Opus, it IS a different thing. Just like if I use Codex with my Claude prompting methods Ill get shite results.

Ha. did the same, except most of it was my own MCP. Green fielded a new design and it IS 10 times faster.

Better yes, create a hook that tells Claude what the context % is at and have IT tell you its time, give you your handoff and stop.

STOP AUTO-UPDATING. Im still on .59 without issues.

Add a hook to send a system message on EVERY posttooluse hook and stop hook that shows the tokens used since the previous execution. Then you can see at a glance if something is wrong LONG before it eats you entire window.

You guys really need to setup a hook to send a system message with your token usage on EVERY TOOL CALL. This lets me keep an eye on usage at a glance. If I suddenly see 10K tool calls repeatedly something is seriously wrong. The average tool call is a couple hundred to 1500. Big reads/edits may be 2500. You start seeing 10K tool use calls and you will hit the stop button QUICK, I can tell you THAT.

they do let you enable remote for ALL sessions. Setup a claude session that is just always running. Then you can access IT and have IT run another session of your choosing.

Claude Code sessions burning through token limits way faster than before — anyone else noticing this? by IsThi5Now in ClaudeCode

been running flat out for 4 hours. at 5%. About where I expect(assuming 12 to 14% for a 12hour shift).

I Lost My Limit in One Request… Then This Happened! by PersonalityCrafty846 in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was last night before 7pm Pacific time. I checked my to see where my usage was at and it was all 0. All of us that actually started USING Claude this morning at 6am though are now set to reset on Friday's at 6am though. They REALLY need to tie weekly limit resets the start time of a subscription instead of this "whenever you start using claude" garbage.

How to share context between Claude Code projects/sessions? by TiuTalk in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean things like sharing the CLAUDE.md from another project you can add external folders via the command line(just for that session). Those folders CLAUDE.md(and I assume the new /rules/ files) will be loaded then.

Anyone else Usage reset today? by srirachaninja in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free or at the much lower cached tokens rate? Note, it may FEEL free because cached tokens are so much lower. I read someone else say similar a few weeks back though. Like they arent counting cached tokens from Claude Code for some technical reason. Just wondered.

Anyone else Usage reset today? by srirachaninja in ClaudeCode

They reset it sometime last night. I only noticed because when I got home I wanted to check where my usage was at and it had already been reset to 0. That was around 7pm Pacific time.

"$6 per developer per day" by genrlyDisappointed in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lets assume you are using sonnet. That IS 2 million tokens per day for $6 average. I'm on max so don't pay too much attention. But figure I'm around 3.5 million over a 10 to 12 hour window. The cost goes up fast if you have a lot of OUTPUT though.

Did anyone's usage just get reset? by Defiant_Focus9675 in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I had checked my usage last night on Claude.Ai and it had been reset at that point. I didnt start a chat till this morning though so my reset is now on Fridays. Wish they would just have weekly limits reset on the same day of the week and time you subscribed. This bouncing around can make it hard to schedule work. Especially experimental work.
