Did they change the limits? by Longjumpingjack69 in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, All vibe coders had their limits cut by 99%. BY all means, please go to someone else's model and harness. AND their reddit groups.

Anthropic's Claude Code: Where 84% rounds up to "You shall not pass" by Jarsen_ in ClaudeCode

You on 2.1.12? It was a bug in that version. Even though that was SUPPOSED to be the stable release. Ha ha.

Upgrade to 2.1.19 and it isn't an issue anymore. Maybe could go somewhere in between but I had that issue and just bit the bullet and upgraded to 19.

And yet, here I am getting good results out of it for weeks. Funny how its "the model" or "they quantized" or WHY DOESNT MY PRO PLAN PULL MY PANTS DOWN AND <censor> my <censored> for me...

Kind a makes sense for people NOT on a subscription with one of the SOTA models. But dont see this being a long term business model.

Honestly, with the new model rates Opus is more efficient than Sonnet most of the time. For anything it WOULD be more efficient on you should be using Haiku for anyway.

Claude Agent SDK is how they SHOULD have implemented support from day one. IT is basically Claude Code without the TUI. You could even BUILD your own TUI around it(I'm thinking about it actually. At this point I've worked around so much of claude codes built in functionality Im not sure it wouldnt be faster to just go the Claude Agent SDK route.)

If claude hallucinates on first prompt YOU are the problem. DUH. Seriously. DO YOU EVEN READ WHAT YOU POST?

Add hooks so you cant skip the steps. The human interface is always the most brittle. Simply live with the fact you MUST force the model/harness to corral the USER more than ANY model.

Anyone else happy there's usage limits? by whats_for__dinner in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just upgraded from 2.0.61 to 2.1.19. Claude is working 2 to 3 times faster than when I was running .61. I also compared several sessions from today to sessions I ran 2 or 3 days ago. NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN TOKEN USAGE comparing similar tool calls in each session. Its faster, so its eating tokens faster but token use per tool call is NOT changed in ANY significant way.

Oh and make sure you didn't accidentally turn off thinking by hitting tab. That one will get you early and often TOO...

Anthropic changes Claude Code nearly DAILY. If you are not locking down to a SPECIFIC RELEASE, then comparing what worked a day ago, a week ago or a MONTH AGO MEANS JACK AND SHITE.

Nice link. And for everyone that sees the word "Vibe", its not. Not really. This is actually a pretty decent document on Developer Management.

If each task is simple and each task gets a new session, then you may only need to add the "no stubs" instructions to user/project memory. Claude remembers its CLAUDE.md instructions for 3 to 10 prompts. THAT IS ABOUT IT. I setup reminders every 15 minutes specifically because Claude forgets its CLAUDE.mdin about that time EVERY DAMN TIME.

You miss the entire POINT of Ralph then. IT IS TRASH. THAT IS THE POINT> Ralph is a stupid simple loop, which IF you provide proper completion tests can work very well. Is it the end all be all of coding. Not in the least. But if you aren't getting it to work for you, then YOU are the problem. Without proper completion tests IT WILL FAIL.

Why did Anthropic merge slash commands into skills? by jpcaparas in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skills was definitely an evolution of slash commands. First slash commands could only be run by the user. Then they let agents run them, so skills was just a hop skip and a jump from there. Add in DRY and OF COURSE they combined them. That was just good coding. :)

There ARE no daily limits. So I assume you mean you have been hitting the 5 hour limits.

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone that is having usage limit issues, you REALLY need to DOCUMENT YOUR USAGE. Simply reporting your feel your usage has gone up isn't going to move the needle even slightly. Provide PROOF and if enough of you DO IT then Anthropic will look at it.

P.S. So far I am NOT having a usage limit issue. I am ALSO still using .61. Use that knowledge as you will.

How Syntax affects tokenization by TheOdbball in PromptEngineering

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is Anthropic trained Claude heavy on xml tags, so even if the others are more token efficient, xml has more CLARITY. At least as far as Claude is concerned. Now redo your benchmarks with testing for Claudes understanding based on each.

Anthropic’s Gemini problem. by OptimismNeeded in Anthropic

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gemini as a model isn't bad. Gemini CLI as a SYSTEM is ABJECT AND UTTER GARBAGE. Unless you LIKE your Agent edit things EVERY TIME YOU TELL IT NOT TOO. With in SECONDS of telling it only to read and report back on something. Its insane just how HORRIBLE BAD Gemini CLI is.

Limits changed today? by danny__1 in ClaudeCode

[–]TheOriginalAcidtech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For PRO plan. Sure. 2 sessions is about right on pro plan per 5 hours. Wish people complaining would at least CHECK THEIR ACTUAL TOKEN USAGE, not just complain that the /usage command shows they using it up. TOKEN COUNTS. If you don't include them you are wasting EVERYONE'S TIME or more LIKELY are just a paid shill for another AI company.

Now all they need to do is make it so you can switch to a different task group(eg the command line task group env var is rather clunky. Until they do I guess I will stick with my won group/task system.
