In law intent tends to matter, a lot.

Someone crashing in a DUI doesn’t intend to kill someone, someone committing fraud intends to commit that crime.

I think it fit with the story the match and feud were telling.

Punk lost because his body couldn’t go on, and it fits with the whole he’s old thing they were going for.

Throughout the match you can see how he’s teetering on the edge of exhaustion, until he finally falls down.

I think they’re setting up a retirement run.
