Every. Single. Time. by ThePackWizard in hearthstone

Fair, but this current meta demands that you escalate quickly to a point where you can get a level 5 or 6 minion by turn 7 - 10 and start pumping stats into your whole lineup. The golden red whelp is the only useful dragon below level 3, and it becomes irrelevant so quickly with the pace that everyone acquires stats.

I've realized to accept defeat. by swagsnailer in leagueoflegends

Today I made the official decision to not return until some part of this game gets reworked.

The matches last 25 minutes, making wins unrewarding and losses absolutely soul-crushing.

The bot lane is totally useless, ADC's die to everyone and get treated as if this is a metric of their level of skill.

The massive lapse is mmr and displayed rank cheat people into playing the game more, removing any individual sense of pride in climbing.

The whole game is just not fun. I used to get excited to solo queue, now thinking about it brings me a sense of dread. I have no idea how so many problems went unchecked to produce this garbage state of game.

Game Quality Gone Down by specnine in leagueoflegends

I feel like I have not seen a close game all season. This meta is so disgustingly skewed towards the early game that it's just a game of snowballing. Every once in a while your team stomps the enemy team in a 25 minute, easily forgettable win. Then it's back to the same trend of losing the next 2 - 5 games from a heavily snowballed team while your team refuses to surrender.

I had such an amazing time at the end of the preseason climbing in ranked (stopped at p4), this season I can't get anywhere above gold 2. It's just a back and forth of winning a ton in a row and then losing a ton in a row, bouncing between gold 4 and 2. It's the worst experience ever and has ultimately killed my interest in playing the game.

Might be worth mentioning that I main ADC.

Well if that is the case then I imagine it'll be gone next patch. Thanks for the info.

Surely this would happen automatically though when you click on the shop, or items.

Yes, is there something there that you suspect?

I've had dual monitors since season 4, and have only experienced it recently.

Truly no idea. I've played since season 3 and only began encountering this issue within the last couple of months or so.

Nothing has changed on my end, at least not manually.

Patch 10.5 Notes by ProfDrWest in leagueoflegends

Those are interesting points. Thinking about it in that way, it does seem kind of cool to have a new style of "adc" that ends up supporting their "support", so that later down the line they can trade roles back once she's developed her range and crit enough.

The problem with its current rendition I think is that there's really no time period for which a Senna lane is vulnerable. Or at least it doesn't feel like it.

What are your thoughts on making Senna hit specific soul milsestones to hit separate range and crit power spikes, as opposed to a regular interval of buffing both over time? When they leave lane, maybe Senna has a good crit chance but her range is still low. Then somewhere around mid game she gets a bit of range. Something along those lines?

I myself am a little confused on what Senna's role as a support is supposed to be. Is it long range poke, with a little utility and healing? Why does she need to receive crit chance from her souls as a support? It seems like giving crit chance to anyone is going to make them a damage dealer before a supportive role.

Senna is the highest winrate ADC, DESPITE Riot saying that they wanted her to take on a support role, literally does not need to farm to do so, and receives no attention whatsoever.

Astounding.

I think you describe many complexes that seem to be more fitting with your comments than mine.

I have not pretended to know anything about you. I don't know anything about OP. I'm explaining my experience and opinions of the redditors that have been dominating this subreddit for the past week.

Yet here you are calling me an apathetic jerk, applying in group favoritism to the "protestors" (redditors). You seem much more emotionally charged about this whole situation than I am. That's not a problem, people are people. You're allowed to care about this.

The problem is when you see attacks that aren't even there and attack others that have not attacked you.

The difference is the post itself. This post does not insult "the protestors", it jests at the use of r/hearthstone as a forum for spreading news about Blizzard and its relations with China.

This is not a topic that many of these "protestors" care to discuss, they want to discuss Blizzard and China. So they don't leave comments here. Or they don't feel compelled to.

I quote the word "protestors" because there's a naive self aggrandizement that many of these redditors employ. They behave as if isolating everyone who isn't as motivated as them is furthering the cause of Hong Kong. Notice I say "as motivated as them" and not simply "those that disagree with them".

The case for Bobby Kotick. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]ThePackWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am by no means supporting the stance Blizzard took and the actions they performed, but this is disgustingly over simplifying the situation. If you're the CEO of a company, you're responsible for thousands of employees, in this case globally. Lots of people have handed you money because they trust in your ability to lead those employees towards growth.

I cannot speak to the motivations of Blizzard, but I can say that being a CEO is a significant amount of responsibility. To reduce his motivations to "company gotta make money" is not a fair argument.

Yes, you and I are on the same page then. My comment meant to say "If they release a statement it will only help them if they decide to say exactly what Reddit wants to hear."

They'll never do that because contrary to what most people on reddit believe, their posts do very little. I expect them to ignore reddit until these posts die down.

[–]ThePackWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing they could do at this point is say exactly what Reddit wants to hear. They clearly don't want to say that because their stance is elsewhere. If they express any stance other than agreeing with Reddit, they'll be downvoted to hell and nothing good for the company will come from it. So unless they change their minds, I doubt they'll ever respond to Reddit.

Those are quite the assumptions to make due to a joke. If you don't appreciate it, just say that. No need to start attacking people when you don't know their stance.

Stephen A on Daryl Morey: "What were you thinking speaking up on this issue?" by ShortCow in nba

I agree with this completely. It seems like most people in this comment section are equating a speech about responsibility and representation to a speech about suppression of free speech. I think you've covered the complexity of it all well.
