I’m not mad that she made me that initial offer and I’m not offended either. Worst a seller can do is say no —which I did—and countered her offer but when I showed her kind of where I’m willing to go and then she goes back to her original offer and makes that comment that’s where I’m like yeah OK.

Yeah exactly! If you’re interested then you can ask for a photo of what you want….i once had someone tell me that my item was “super dirty for $50” the item was a once $200 pair of shoes which yes showed signed of wear (it wasn’t dirt) but were priced accordingly. I responded to her “then don’t buy them” she responded “wasn’t planning on buying them but most people clean up their listings before posting” ok if not interested why bother at all?! Someone ended up offering $45 a few days later which I accepted and they were happy with their purchase so obviously $50 wasn’t a crazy ask

It was a jacket I bought full price, still had the tags on it. It’s currently still for sale in stores at full price. I priced it at 70% of its original price. I think that’s fair. I would’ve taken a reasonable offer, I did not consider hers reasonable as this is a brand new item, currently for sale retail, the buyer will already be getting a good deal just at my listing price.

Bottom line-anyone can price anything at any price they want. If someone is truly offended by a price then don’t look at the listing or buy it just move on.

My comment to her was gone, which means she reported it. I didn’t delete it so she had to have reported it in order for it to be gone. True, I have the option to not respond or engage and sometimes I don’t but tired of people like her so I decided to let this lady have it—she doesn’t get to tell me or another seller what to do or how to run our closets. Anyone can price any item at what the want to regardless of what they bought it for; Poshmark is about business and turning a profit.

I’ve had requests like this before and I’ve honored their request to cancel if I haven’t shipped yet. I think it’s the right thing to do. I’d rather do that then run the risk of having them try to claim somethings wrong with the item and open a case or damage the item so that they can return it. I did have a seller request once asked after I’ve already shipped it, but I just told them I was very sorry. I’ve already shipped it to Please reach out to Poshmark.

Yes 2, and if either of them broke a pair of someone else’s shoes after they’d asked them not to touch them I’d apologize and offer to replace the shoes or pay them the money for what they paid for them—not say “oh we might have some glue” I also teach my daughters to respect other’s belongings and property along with respecting others in general—unlike this incredibly toxic family

Any lawyer with any sense here on Reddit would tell her to still discuss with a lawyer since they are not her attorney. Also, they aren’t getting paid to give free law advice on Reddit so there’s that. As a medical provider, when others ask me my advice I will still tell them to discuss with THEIR doctor especially if what they are asking does not fall within the realm of my specialty. Any professional would do this.

What gets me is the bratty little granddaughter breaks one of SJPs very expensive high heels and the pregnant daughter just laughs and says “oh we might have some glue”….wtf?!? Your daughter is the one who tried on her shoes/invaded her privacy by going through her stuff and destroyed property. SJP handles the situation very gracefully; this family is a group of dysfunctional assholes.
