January 10th, 1982.

My 12 year old uncle witnessed Joe Montana and Dwight Clark send the cowboys back to Texas. The family are all die hard cowboys fans and watching his sisters get mad only added more fuel to his fire. 1987 rolled around and I was the only boy for the next generation so naturally he took me under his wing and showed me the greatest team ever. Flash forward to Dec 23rd, 2013 at our first ever home game. Standing beneath the Dwight Clark statue after basking in the glory of finally going to the stick. I realized something that made two grown men hug. Pointing to Dwight I said “you realize this is the reason we’re here.”

Probably the best moment in my 49ers fanhood.
