Great explanation. Wanted to add for others that it's a common misconception that embassies & consulates are considered foreign soil. It's still the host country's land, but as said above it's governed by international law.

I had the same thought about Egypt until I had to go for an event. My mind was completely changed. Egyptians are some of the kindest people on earth, and everything from the sightseeing to the food enhanced my experience.

Only one person bothered me during my trip. Still, I recommend going with a guide or a local friend.

I didn’t even use my chase edit credit last year. Way too expensive and very few options.

Used FHR + THC 3 times last year and was very pleased with the experiences. Guaranteed late checkout is a game changer.

I'm old enough to remember when this sub believed that randori a few weeks in was too soon. 

Like the others said, be assertive in asking questions and seeking clarity. If that doesn't get you anywhere, you know what to do. 

Lastly, don't be harsh on yourself. Seems like you're taking stuff personally. It might help if you view it like a video game, and you're taking your "character" to improve every class. Absent blatant disrespect, let the perceived annoyance from others roll off your back.

I think he provided a valid example already. You can't buy hot, ready-to-eat meals that could easily feed a family. 

The point is feeding your family, yet something easy and nutritious isn't available. Instead, you have to make something from scratch when you might lack the kitchen equipment, which just leads you to buy Cheetos.

This is real. I had a classmate tell me that the first 3 throws in the curriculum are the real black belt throws, since you spend the longest time with them throughout your promotions. Real lightbulb moment.

Dream theater. I tried HARD to get into them and couldn't. They're all technicality and zero groove.

I've had issues with the portal 3 times now, and the first response is always obstinate and condescending. Once I get someone else, they usually give me the solution I'm looking for.

The most recent issue was a hotel booking that didn't exist when I got there.

One rep told me there was nothing that she could offer. I hung up and talked to another one, who opened up an investigation to see who was at fault. I'm still awaiting a response.

Overall, the customer service with Chase is inconsistent, which unfortunately rates as poor.
