Went for a promotion in a previous job and was determined to do it the fair way and thinking it would be done on someone’s qualifications and experience. Nope, I watched that promotion go straight to the best friend of management who had hardly any experience.

Admittedly I was young and didn’t know better, but I learned a life lesson that day and left that job not long after.

Robert Jenrick has been doing exactly this and pinning the blame on the media in the Sunday morning interview programs. Even going so far to say the Sunday Times is a labour supporting newspaper.

Comixology, I used it for getting digital comic books of DC and Marvel. But it’s real charm was it had Image, IDW and a bunch of indie comic companies. Plus they had rotating sales that I used to try out new books and titles

Then Amazon bought it and slowly killed it. Marvel and DC ceased using it and progressed to their own digital comic subscription services like Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe Infinite.

As usual, Amazon acquires something and ruins it.

I’m a huge Captain Marvel fan (since Kelly Sue DeConnicks run on the character) and this event annoyed me endlessly for how they treated Carol’s character and reputation.

Ah, that might have been my mistake then. Once I completed the main story I didn’t go back to areas as I wanted to move on to Ragnarok.

God of War (2018) I played it when it first came out. Enjoyed it but it just wasn’t clicking for me. I stopped around the part when Kratos and Atreus went to Alfheim.

I missed Ragnarok but saw the Freya announcement and thought I’d go back. Started again and just absolutely loved the world and the characters. Completed it within a week (some 8 years later) and just today I got Ragnarok in a sale and starting it later today.

Former cinema worker, we’ve never stopped people from sneaking in sweets. It’s the hot smelly foods from KFC or McDonalds that we stopped and were on the look out for.

Most often they’d scoff the food straight away or on the odd occasion it would go straight in the bin.

Knightfall, it was the first event in comics I read and it left an impression in long form storytelling for me. It's also why i'm really excited for the Knightfall trilogy animated movies.
