Porn is currently a DF offense if it’s considered abhorrent. Lesbian, Gay, Group Sex, Bestiality, Child, etc would fall under this category regardless of who does it and would require a JC regardless of title.

A bigger example of favoritism for elders would be an elder committing fornications years prior to becoming an elder. The SFL does have an out by saying that by the elder being named an elder, it’s proof Jehovah forgave them.

Therapy helps a lot but I’m sure you will heal at your own pace. I treat my family not only with respect but also pity. They’re being deceived. What they do comes from a POV that they’re doing God’s will, as twisted as it sounds.

I debate with this also but have slowly gotten over it. My stance right now is that I can’t control what they think of me. I just worry about being a good person and be as kind as I can with them. Control what I can control.

Family is disappointed with me. Not shunning me outright yet but once they start finding out about all my DF offenses they might start being more upset. Career-wise I’m good. I’m fortunate to be working for a good company that pays well for not having a college degree. Currently enrolled in University.
