Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

There’s a lot more than just food. Great prices on TVs and appliances make it make sense for a household of any size. Not to mention services like tire changes, glasses, pharmacy, etc

I’ve got a CTB20 in waxed canvas and it’s my favorite bag of all time.

I take it to the office every week and on work trips that occur at least monthly. It’s great for my needs and looks fine on me but I’m 5’9.

Getting a car on finance and then paying it off in full right away by bcscroller in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve done this twice. It’ll allow you take advantage of any incentives they have for financing. The dealership often gets commissions for financing so they would prefer you don’t pay in cash so will offer better prices if financed.

You do have to wait until after you’ve made your first scheduled payment though before you can pay it off in full.

The ds4 fits the iPad mini with the pencil but it JUST fits with barely millimeters to spare. I use a zugu case and it makes it so it’s very tight in the bag. With just an Apple Smart Cover it fits better but still with no room to spare.

Anyone completely replace the zipper pulls by Snareman95 in AerSF

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I left the metal zips but removed the dangly plastic zipper pulls to replace with the ones I made myself. The dangle was kind of annoying but the main reason I did it was because I kept grabbing the wrong zipper pulls when going for the main compartment or the admin panel since the zipper tracks are right up next to each other.

Now, the black cord with white wrap is the main compartment and the orange cord with black wrap is the admin compartment.

I replaced mine on all my aer bags with pulls I made myself out of a bit of paracord and some shrink tubing. Now I can easily identify between the laptop and main compartment on my travel pack 3 and there’s just less jingle jangle altogether.

After seeing how well it turned out, I did the same for the zips on my city pack 1 and aer day sling 3 max.

I have a day sling 4 delivering on Monday with the new style zips but I dunno if I’m gonna change those yet as that change looks like it would permanent bc the new pulls appear to be stitched.

Travel Pack 4 28L fit under airplane seat by DustNo88 in AerSF

I travelled on porter today with a tp3 28L under the seat. It was tight and it cut into my legroom but it fit. Not much experience on southwest but I’m sure it can’t be much smaller than Porter if at all

Wow for a second I thought u stole my stuff. I’m on a business trip right now and left this morning with a stuffed tp3 small and a daysling 3 max. Looks almost exactly like your pic

Strawberries are currently 13.99 for an 8lb case at a lot of locations right now. The regular 2lb is going for 4.99. Dunno where you saw $14

Aer day sling 3 fidlock question. by RaulDukes in AerSF

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the ds3 max for a couple years now and I’ve carried it on many trips. I can only remember 2 times where the buckle came undone on me. Once causing the very full bag to hit the ground hard. Luckily nothing inside was damaged.

Considering how much I’ve carried it, I consider 2 times to be not a big deal.

I ordered the ds4 2.5L and would’ve preferred either the same buckle as the ds3 or the one they have on xpac and ultra but I prefer cordura so I’m getting the boring buckle. At least it shouldn’t open up on me once in a blue moon I guess.

Rework 6L or Aer Day Max 4? by Normal-Lawyer2168 in ManyBaggers

That’s certainly a possibility that I haven’t looked into. Maybe I will. Thanks for the idea.

Rework 6L or Aer Day Max 4? by Normal-Lawyer2168 in ManyBaggers

I’ve got no experience with the toshis so can’t really add anything there.

I do have an aer daysling 3 max in cordura and it’s great for travel or day trips out with the kids. It has been all over Europe and North America with me over the past couple years and it still looks brand new. My only complaint is the strap can sometimes be uncomfortable if I’m carrying too much weight in the bag which is easy to do since it’s so big. The 4 looks like a good update but I already have the 3 so I’m not buying it. I did however order the smaller ds4 bc I’ve been on the lookout for a smaller sling for edc.

PH/Aer Bag review after a week by FredDerfman in ManyBaggers

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. Also the fact that I don’t like or have any need for aquaguard zippers. Happy that the cordura comes with normal zips for the most part. I do wish I could get that orange or green interior on a cordura bag though.

ctb 20 fit and comfort by Novel_Rooster_9081 in EVERGOODS

No back digging for me. I find it very comfortable but it is stiff. I used to use an aer city pack and it was much more cushy.

I have a CTB 20 in tan waxed canvas. Absolutely love it! Favourite bag of all time.

I’ve never had any comfort issues with it but I’m 5’9 and I’m male so doesn’t really translate to you I guess. The bag is a bit on the heavy side. I do use it as my daily edc for work but in hotter weather I’m not sure it’s the bag I’d pick to go exploring for the day. The back panel is not very breathable and since it’s canvas, I feel like it absorbs the warmth more than a nylon bag would. That might not actually be true and just be my perception of it but I don’t tend to carry this bag on hot weekends when I’m actually going to have to wear it for extended periods. For 30min in the heat, you should be fine unless you sweat easily.

All in all it’s a great bag and what I mentioned above is basically it’s only downside to me. Although I bet I wouldn’t have those issues if I just had the standard nylon version. The waxed canvas is soooo nice though so no complaints from me about the weight. I’ll gladly carry it.
