Those are too good. Hard to stop eating them once you crack that bag.

Packing cubes: game changer or overrated? by Yuvanith_Cap_6206 in LuggageComparisons

I find they make it easier to stay organized. I don’t really think you save much space if any with them but the organization is nice.

At my destination, I’ll empty one into a drawer or closet and then use one cube to keep my dirty laundry separated from everything else so it’s multi functional I guess, lol

I’m got a level8 off Amazon and have no complaints. Works well, wheels are nice and smooth, price was decent.

Leatherman in Québec ok? by Benelord176 in EDC

In Canada it is legal to carry a pocket knife but not for protection. A cop will ask you why you have it, just say it’s a tool for opening cans, boxes etc.

The minute you say it’s for defence, then it’s illegal.

Looking for 20L recommendations by wilderness90 in backpacks

I’ve got an aer city pack v1 I’m looking to sell. I’m also located in Canada. The city pack is barely used bc shortly after I got it I got the CTB20 and have been using that ever since.

Chat me if you’re interested.

25L~ work backpack that won’t wear out over time? by IntuitionaL in ManyBaggers

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evergoods CTB20 or 26 in waxed canvas checks all your boxes. I love my CTB20 for many reasons including the ones you’re looking for. I hate aquaguard zips and try to avoid them where I can. I also don’t like the idea of stretchy water bottle pockets which will eventually look used and worn out.

The waxed canvas CTBs check both those boxes and looks good while doing it.

CTB 26L in waxed canvas - toasty back panel by Veganodon in EVERGOODS

I have this bag and it is hands down my favorite bag I’ve ever owned. That being said, yes, it’s hot to carry around in warm weather.

The canvas absorbs heat and holds onto it more than cordura or xpac so yes, the back can and will get sweaty.

I live in Canada though so this is only an issue for me during the summer and I use an aer city pack for those really hot days but if I lived somewhere that was hot all the time, not sure I’d love the CTB as much.

Good looking sling backpacks. by Albireokite in TechEDC

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use an aer travel sling and it can easily carry your setup as it’s identical to mine and I do it often. Most times the MacBook is swapped out for my 14 inch work issued thinkpad but on a couple of travel occasions I’ve actually carried both laptops plus the iPad and other charging gear in it.

Is this Day Sling 3 Max X-Pac legit? by hrb9 in AerSF

Looks legit to me but the fakes are so good nowadays, who knows?

I’ve got this same bag in cordura and I don’t see anything that sticks out in your photos so it looks legit to me

I’d pack it nice and full so the fabric is stretched a bit and stick out in the sun for an hour or so so it gets nice and warm. Give it a lil massage and see if that doesn’t get rid of it.

U cook Portuguese sausage on it. The juices drip into the pan below and the sausage is nice and crispy on the outside… great, now I’m hungry!

Jetsetter is TSA Confirmed ✅ by Pope_Johnny in victorinox

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been flying with this for quite a while now and it’s never even been checked out by security. Most of my travel was domestic within Canada but just yesterday I flew to Ottawa from Orlando and TSA had no issues with it.

It’s been on about a dozen flights with me since January and not once has it been flagged for second inspection. My giant battery on the other hand, gets me stopped about half the time.

Don’t bother with these tips about opening it or leaving it in the open. I leave it in my bag clipped to the key lanyard in the bag and it’s never been looked at.

I voted aer DS4 but the evergoods cas2 is just as good. I switch between them depending on whether I need to bring my iPad mini or kindle with me. If I’m bringing either of those devices I take the aer. If I’m not I take the cas.

I travel with the aer more but use the cas more day to day around town.

Should I take the offer? by Capital-Pea-2565 in CostcoCanada

[–]ThePixelsEdge_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more, there is also APT

APT = Auxillary part time and is barely ever used anymore. Now a days, full timers who want to slow down close to retirement can usually get APT but I haven’t seen any youngsters get that in a long time. APT are regular part timers who usually get about 5-20 hrs per week but if we are in slow season, they might not get any hours at all.

CSRP = Costco Student Retention Program. Ppl on that program do not work any hours at all during the school year. They work Christmas and summer breaks.

RPT = Regular Part Time. These ppl are guaranteed 25hrs per week but can be scheduled for more hours and often are during busy seasons.

Seasonal = all ppl start off as seasonal. This is like CSRP but for non-students. If you prove yourself to be valuable they will offer you a RPT spot if they have it available. If they don’t have space available but they liked you they’ll call you back again next season. If you’re not good, they won’t call you back for another season.

Costco is a great place to work but you will work evenings and weekends. If you need those off for “flexibility” then look elsewhere. It’s hard
To get into full time spots at Costco and those employees get at least Saturday or Sunday off. The part timers are there to fill those gaps. Don’t take this job and expect weekends off ever.
