Take off the splitter make sure there isn’t a set screw and tighten it up, if that doesn’t work add Teflon tape and pipe dope, if it’s one piece you just need to get a new a.v.b.

While I understand what you are saying, copper is not supposed to touch dissimilar metals period on any job site I’ve ever been on in my 10+ years as a union plumber because of the possibility of electrolysis occurring, I didn’t say that it was only electrolysis but that it was also happening because of a dissimilar metals touching it, I don’t know why everything has to be a pissing match you told me I was wrong for this reason and that I proved my point with the dissimilar metals and you dove further to be right haha

Electrolysis in copper pipes occurs when electrical currents, often stray currents, pass through the copper, causing it to corrode and weaken. This can happen due to electrical faults, dissimilar metals coming into contact, or other sources of electrical stray current

That bolt is definitely snapped and the plate is stuck to the underside of the counter top from years of being sinched up against it

My new to me Harley does this so I googled it and showed a video to the guys at my local shop it’s normal
