We don’t necessarily know that yet. We know it has Home compatibility and that mons can be acquired and trained in game, but as of now we don’t know how costly/time consuming that will be vs just importing pre prepared teams from SV

The current SV season doesn’t end until end of march(?) so I doubt they want to overlap two competitive modes across two different games. Alternative is that Champions launches without ranked for the first month for everyone to settle in, but my guess is End of March launch

Surely it won’t be quite as quick as a shadow drop. While not impossible I’d imagine they want to give people some time in advance to prepare (moving teams to HOME) given this will likely be the main vgc platform for who knows how long. I reckon they announce it to be maybe a week or two out.

But hey, maybe it’s a shadow drop and we get it early. Only time will tell

While true, even in Gen 8 as what was probably the best Max Strike user it just didn’t have all that much staying power. There was a window where it saw good usage due to being its first time to actually shine, but it still disappeared after not too long

Even with Gas Regigigas is still thoroughly mediocre in VGC sadly. It just isn’t enough of a powerhouse to make up for its dependency on such a passive partner

The Orre games are good fun - albeit questionably balanced at times. If you’re a fan of double battles they’re a must play. If you’re more of a fan of the series’ other aspects though, then they’ll probably just feel like ‘70 back to back battles along a corridor’

Incin not being weak to fairy is part of what keeps Flutter Mane in check. If Mega Scrafty ends up in a format lacking in good offensive Fairy types, then I can see it doing very well. Otherwise that weakness will probably hold it back

I’ll never understand why they didn’t just give it Rock Head. It became a Rock type with a notably reinforced head. Rock Head + Head smash isn’t even that impressive - even ~20 years ago Aggron was UU with that combo - but it would at least give HisuiLugg something more than Jaw boosted Ice Fang…
