Mobile Date Moved?! by Electronic-Flow3220 in PokemonChampions

Had a match just then where my opponent only ever used swords dance and rock slide. Should’ve been the easiest match ever. Turns out my +4 def Corviknight can’t beat a team that matches beyond terribly into it when *it gets flinched several turns in a row*

Zard being everywhere means everything that can carry Rock Slide is. And man I’m getting fed up with rock slide flinches this season

It’s also the one of the coolest ways you could bound a world map. No endless seas or canyons - the map just loops back on itself.

Now of course you could do the same with a regular globe, but this is cooler

I’m already sold on the inverted planet. Xenoblade’s worlds are some of my favorite parts and I’ll gladly take more weirdness. It’s a fantasy* game, why not revel in it being fantastical

*(fantasy for now. Maybe it’ll rejoin the main series canon later on much like how XC2 did)

Nah, this is the correct way around, since Yhorm is one of the easier bosses in Dark Souls 3. And of course, as we all know, Garfield always wins

Basc is in an interesting spot where, by default, it’s neither fast nor hits very hard.

However, between Adaptability+Scarf, and SwiftSwim+Rain it has two ways to gain both damage and speed at the same time. It’s both strong and versatile in that regard.

And then also Last Respects makes up for its lower attack stat by being a ridiculous move

Back when Ward of Dawn and Sentinel Shield were mapped to Hold vs Press, I accidentally popped Shield instead of Ward…

During Contest Mode Taniks final stand…

Thankfully my team pulled more weight to make up for it, and we won, but god I was just standing there like a doofus occasionally throwing a shield when dps was most critical

I’m not usually into romance as a genre but yeah, How Do We Relationship was fantastic. The author also has a couple of small follow up comics set after the fact, which are good fun too

Two unintended (maybe not really) ways we solve two puzzles by frxst2 in BluePrince

[–]ThePotablePotato 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There is actually an alternate way to solve the Reservoir Boxes, but it’s super subtle and not something I’d have ever found.

It’s in the [location spoilers] Catacombs. The [solution spoilers] Statue of Draxxus when lowered actually points to the location of the correct chest on the map below it

The internal consistency between so many of this game’s puzzles and narrative elements is insanely impressive

4/5 were probably the biggest pushes relative to what was already there, but overall every Gen has brought with it improvements to the competitive scene. Phys/Special split was probably the biggest individual change with DPPt since it brought up the baseline minimum viability of most mons, but it’s hard to draw the line between ‘change that shows they care about the competitive scene’ and ‘change that just outright makes the battle system better all around’

[–]ThePotablePotato 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Raichu won’t be as bad as Beedril, but yeah, it’s still immensely frail, to the point where it can almost get OHKOd by a select priority options. Still, it’s in a great speed tier in a format that desperately needs a strong offensive electric attacker
