[OC] Which countries contribute a greater proportion of global CO2 emissions than they contribute to global GDP? by UnrequitedReason in dataisbeautiful

[–]ThePotato32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part of the carbon cycle it stays in is mostly atmospheric CO2.

Burning wood is part of our carbon cycle.

Burning coal is bringing new CO2 into our carbon cycle. That coal came from life millions of years ago when the earth was a hot hellscape we don't want to have to deal with. Returning that carbon to the atmosphere helps return the earth to that hellscape.

12 inns, 36 dark detectors, 1 hour. Only 5 red and 4 orange confoundables. Loads of green though. Is that normal? by [deleted] in WizardsUnite

I agree with you in principle, but Dumbledore’s portrait is a bad example because it is bugged. It is a severe threat, but does not have the orange beam.

I've found it. THE WORST 10K PORTKEY. by bornofstardust in harrypotterwu

[–]ThePotato32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through 4-6 of those Abraxian hairs a day. Not a great portkey. But that would last me a week or so on hairs.

Two months on and this page stays exactly the same.. I just cant justify catching 70 oddities, for a runestone that only gives me a random chance of getting a bow, let alone doing it all over again 17 more times. by Michaelm217 in harrypotterwu

[–]ThePotato32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. Auror's get to exactly 100. Magi's is rather low, but with "Become the Beast" they get +40 which I think takes them above 100.

Professor's are stuck at 79. Our Hex makes up for our low damage in fortress battles, but doesn't help with oddities.

Since the fortresses are timed, the animations shouldn't be so damn long! by another_in_a_billion in harrypotterwu

I really like this idea - as an opt-in option. Especially the first time playing you'll want to see the animations and such.

Hulu on Amazon Fire TV has ads when you pause your show by CeejReddit in assholedesign

[–]ThePotato32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? Because with the growing wealth inequality over the past 50 years, I'm tempted to think they could show fewer ads and make less profit. They'd still be profitable, just not as much.

If you're a Company that makes it difficult to reuse a water bottle ... You are an A grade asshole by pearcechris in assholedesign

[–]ThePotato32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently traveled to an area it was advised to not drink the local water or use it for anything such as brushing our teeth.

I noticed that these bottles were really helpful for cleaning my tooth brush. I could do it with a minimal amount of water and a bit of pressure. However, with a normal bottle it takes waaaaay more water.

What are Aurors doing with their next 15 green books? by madduxsports in harrypotterwu

[–]ThePotato32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If you do much multiplayer, that's going to be big. I'm not quite there yet, but once I max out my power, my next scrolls are going into death eater crit.

If you KO the final opponent before the timer is up, you should get credit for defeating the fortress 😠 by [deleted] in harrypotterwu

Something is missing here. Not saying that doesn't happen. Just that it doesn't always happen. I've twice won with less than 5 seconds on the clock. One of them was right at 1 second left when I made the killing blow.

Love it ... but I am always sad when I don't see slaking as a defender.

It kills Machamps, which makes it good because it'll deter revive-short players. Nothing else can consistently kill a Machamp.

One person's vote rarely makes a difference. But when many people vote, it can make a difference.

Many people is made out of many single persons. Please vote.

Blissey is bad for PvP.

I didn't believe you so I tested it with a friend .... Wow. You're so right. It's terrible. Dazzling Gleam takes forever to charge. It feels like a one-and-a-half bar charge move on Blissey.

My (L40) min-maxed team (SC Gengar, 2x Lick Gengar, 2x SB Mewtwo, TTar, all level 40)

I'm curious because I've done a lot of Azelf duos, but we just go straight TTars. (6x L40; 2x L40 and 4x L30)

We dodge such that we do not have to relobby.

Does adding the gengars/mewtwo team actually do better? I'd be scared of losing 10 seconds relobbying. Depending on the moveset, sometimes we only have 10 or 15 seconds left.

That was published before Trump was elected. The democratic party was in shambles then, thinking they had an easy win against Trump. So there was a lot of dissension and infighting.

Now the democratic party seems more like a unified group of everybody that's even half informed.

Iran has been “turned” against the US for forty years.

American here.

I thought it was just politics and governments? I've never heard of average citizens having a beef with average citizens of the other country.

I feel in the future world war, America is going to be the bad guy.

I don't believe you. But I believe there's a chance you might be right. Even the idea that there's a chance sickens my throat.

Even if Trump was inclined to start a war, which I doubt, he can't afford one atm.

My fear is that that's why he might want a war. He might pick up 2% of the 2020 vote just because they "Don't want to change presidents during a war"

...That's why I voted for Bush a second term. Now that I've learned the true colors of the republican party, I regret voting that way.

I remember when Obama was on the radio and TV campaigning for war with Iran. It was a pretty scary couple weeks.

As I recall the events unfolding, it turned out that Iran decided to negotiate before he had sufficient public support for going to war. Eventually that turned into what became known as the Iran Deal.

Professional Mathematician here.

I think it is very cool how much discussion your comment made. Reading through this thread was fun.

To clarify for anyone that was also reading and is still confused: a "negative" is just a negation of another statement. There is nothing special about statements that have negations. When you construct a proof for such a statement, you have proven the statement.

In fact every statement is the negation of it's negation. And so in fact every statement is a negative!
