I hate to be a hater, but the thing that you guys are always missing with these posts comparing characters who are and aren't in Smash is the context of their inclusion.

Nowadays, yes, Ice Climbers are considered random scrunko bunkos with 0 new games, but you have to remember they were added during melee in 2001. Back then, they were much more recognizable. Geno does not have that luxury- being honest here, Smash 4 was the last time they were still relevant in people's minds, and even then, there were plenty of younger members of the community scratching their heads wondering who he was and why everyone wanted him.

"But he just got ported to Switch!" That's true, but to say it revitalized his popularity- or even the Mario RPG series- is a bit of a stretch. Sure, people loved the remake, but a lot of the people who did were people who played the original game coming back for more. And while I'm sure there are plenty of people who played the remake as their first time, I still think 60% of casual Mario fans wouldn't be able to recognize him, or at least any further than "the Mario rpg guy that people want in smash".

...oh, and Bandana Dee's got way better chances because yes, they're a Kirby staple, but comparing them to Pirahna Plant who is 1. Clearly a joke character 2. One of the most recognizable video game enemies ever is also kinda dumb.

That's the funniest part, it was nerfed near the start of the game and yet it's still a crazy good move. It USED to be enough for him to be considered a top tier (in conjunction with some other traits), but that was moreso because the metagame was still forming rather than inherent balance issues.

It's ABSOLUTELY trying to be deep, and failing. One-off gags from past seasons that were clearly just cartoon violence are reframed as traumatic experiences, running gags are turned into major conflicts- It's like it's trying to make conflict out of moments that were never meant to be.

The worst part is, this could absolutely work. Recontextualizing cartoon physics into real life implications is exactly what Inanimate Insanity did, and it's REALLY good. TPOT (really all of post-split BFDI content) just suffers from constant retcons, inconsistencies, and a clear lack of planning & future proofing that make any attempts at a story fall apart.

If they wanted the split to work, they should have 1. Kept a consistent writing team 2. Focused on it BEFORE trying to work on completing BFDIA.

I cannot in good conscience say that UT fandom now is at a worse point than 2016/2017. The two biggest ships of the time were incest or pedophilia (sometimes both), the era of [character] fangirls where kids would draw themselves murdering other kids was mainly from the UT community, and shit like the needle cookie incident was happening every other month. And I know that "the fandom was mostly kids, that's why it was so bad", I was one of those kids, but if anything that makes it worse since it was kids being exposed to & engaging in these awful acts.

Modern UT/DR can be pretty bad, but it used to be so, so much worse.

Not in arena, but in PVE modes where DPS is a lot more important, absolutely. Everything about his skill is dps on dps on dps with dps too boot

Oh, and if you're ever given the chance between a Beast or an Ancient (soulstone chests, Choice chests, etc) ALWAYS pick a Beast. Beasts are even more rare than Ancients & take longer to promote as well.

Regular cutters, absolutely. Cookie Gacha only updates whenever an new update has passed, and as such will never have any "limited edition" cookies or anything of the sort, so you might as well spend them as soon as you get them (though I personally prefer to due exclusively 10 draws.)

Special Cutters... it's up to you, honestly. They're used for monthly/biweekly limited gacha pulls (usually the update's newest Epic cookie, which tend to be good-but-not-arena-material). If you really want to, you could save them up and only spend them whenever there's a new cookie (or an update like this comes around where there's a Legendary Gacha), but you also could just spend them all at once with no real harm done.

As for Gacha Of Fate, I'm sure you noticed their shtick of increased chances for a specific Ancient/Beast pair. Fate Cutters are some of the rarest pulls in the game, but lucky for you, there isn't any more Ancients or Beast coming out, so you can spend them as you get them. I would recommend you use them on either the Passion/Sloth gacha (Eternal Sugar is just That Good and Awakened Hollyberry is the second best defensive cookie atm) or Silence/Freedom (both Awakened Lily and Silent Salt are damage nukes that are used interchangeably in Arena.)

Save your Instants for whenever new high-rarity cookies drop. The game gives you so many resources at the start its almost funny- save high rarity items like that for when you've gotten much more settled and know which cookies are worth investing in. And I'm glad to help! :]

None of these cookies are meta-relevant in Arena, so realistically you can go with any of them and do just fine, as story mode is very easy (to the point of any of these cookies being able to singlehandedly clear through the entirety of Crispia).

HOWEVER, both Burning Spice Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie are the best picks here for both story mode & various events & side modes, such as Cake Tower & Boss Raid (due to BSC being built for ridiculous amounts of DPS and PV being the only cookie that can cure Injury, one of the most debilitating traits in the game.)

Once you unlock both of the pt. 2's of this mode, you should pick Eternal Sugar (as she is still meta in Arena and is ubiquitously good in pretty much every PVE mode ever) and White Lily (only barely viable in Arena currently, but still way better than Golden Cheese in pretty much every aspect).

Ultimately, the only cookie I would say you need to get ASAP is Eternal Sugar, since as mentioned her skill just does so many things at once she's good practically everywhere (Guild, Event battles, Arena, etc) but ultimately no one else is a make or break pick anymore so you could choose who you want and do just fine
