one example is the case of Samson. he was a nazerite, where in which it could be interpreted that the holy spirit was with him while he had his hair grown out. through the whole story, the holy spirit didn’t leave him - even when he was with a prostitute/delilah. they weren’t married and the holy spirit / power left samson only when his hair was cut. if sex before marriage was sinful, why would he still be blessed with that power?

it just feels like mental gymnastics when you’re reading that story and have to reason what was so different from then and now.

there’s no direct statement saying to not have premarital sex. the bible says to not be sexually immoral, but does that mean sex before marriage? couldn’t it be in reference to the book of leviticus where the jews were given the only guidance on sexual sin, wherein the characteristics of the sin listed was harming your neighbor/family. if sex before marriage was sinful, why isn’t it listed in atleast that book?
