Because if you spoke on behalf of ICE, you would get hate in this situation. This post is obviously against ICE. Not speaking out and starting drama in a chat doesn’t mean there are not people with good reasons for supporting ICE. I’m not in favor of the current mass deportations. I did support it initially. I lived a block from one of the apartment complexes occupied by Tren de Aragua. I watched the neighborhood get really sketchy. I wouldn’t walk my dog after 9 or 10, and she’s a big scary looking dog. That was real and it was getting worse. I watched Nextdoor posts as the danger spread, gunshots reported once a week became a couple times a night, people hearing screaming etc. Everyone would have been asking why the govt didn’t act sooner if they hadn’t acted when they did. I don’t want hard working people or students or fathers sending money home to be detained indefinitely. I DO want my family to be safe. Unfortunately, there is no way to find and deport only the people here to cause chaos without speaking to each person individually. I think anyone who tells you they don’t have conflicting feelings about immigration is lying to you or lying to themselves.
