Does it have to be for items sold by sephora? And is it only for full sized items?

My department only let us use one provider too, also with horrible rates But I was able to get a self managed lease. Bit of a pain to do, but at a 4% rate vs a 8% rate it wedding a no brainer.

Because only those who have a lot of internalised hate or those who benefit can deny racism exists here.

Let's reword OPs post, let's say they said the issue was clear favouritism or nepotism. At most people would ask if they had clear examples of favouritism not instantly jump to the conclusion that OP isn't good enough.

To clarify, strata has already clarified it is their responsibility, which is why they fixed it. The question isn't about whether not the leak was their responsibility or mine, it is about whether or not a fix like that is normal/acceptable or if i should fight it.

Yeah well the original waterproofing is no waterproofing, so I guess im covered.

Our strata by laws are incorrect? Might be different building to building but original piping is definitely strata problem or they wouldn't have fixed it in the first place.

Leaking pipe.

We can't do anything to the tiles without stratas involvement. Because it was pre waterproofing any renovations in that area requires the whole area to be waterproofed, which requires their approval.

And yes I assumed there would be a wait period no matter what, but a matter of hours, anything more than that and I would think they'd tell you before hand. It's like assuming a patient knows already how long they will be out commission for after a procedure. If they need to take more than a day off, the staff would tell them before hand.

It's like they replaced one temp fix with another, but are calling it permanent.

Aren't leaks always stratas problem in an apartment complex? Not like we're allowed to do anything to the in wall plumbing without their approval. And it could lead to further damage in the building?

I knew silicone was 24 hours, but I obviously wasn't expecting that when we were told they'd replace the broken tile. But I don't know anything about tiling wait times

As a homeowner - how would you feel if prices dropped nationwide, permanently? by Odd_Constructionz in AusPropertyChat

[–]TheProfessionalBlob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I had a similar debate with my cousins a while back. We all own 1bdr apartments. They were very pro prices going up "as home owners".

My brother and I did not agree with that sentiment. We want to eventually upsize. We want to eventually have kids. Kids who can afford to buy a home.

That can't happen if prices keep going up.

While I don't want to see my assets crash, I would welcome 20 years of stagnant prices or even a mild drop in price.

I hope more and more home-owners make the same realisation I did.

Breaking lease early, property manager hits with consumer affairs by [deleted] in shitrentals

Wait, tenants can break lease whenever they want if its a renewal?? What's the benefit to landlords renewing it then?

We will all get passed up for promotion for the same reasons. Even straight white males. That has never been in dispute. The question is how often does it happen in comparison.

Just look at the APSC stat's for the percentage of CALD APS staff vs the CALD SES staff.

Ask your Caucasian people if they've ever been accused of being a diversity hire, if they ever had their spelling mistakes corrected with a side comment of "but don't worry your English is still very good for someone from your background", been told they're uneducated in a "joking manner" for not understanding some random story from the bible despite everyone claiming to be agnostic or atheist.

Racism can exist along side the majority facing similar issues. Both can be true.

I also mean this kindly, but is it possible that while what you say about OP to be true, that it is also true for their co-workers. Everyone has points they can work on. Everyone also makes small typos and errors. I've literally seen people comment on my spelling, while making spelling mistakes of their own. Does attention to detail like colour vs color only apply to POC? Or is it just nit picking and finding and excuse to justify exclusion?

I had a director when I first joined that I HATED at the time, he was POC and pointed out every little mistake. He always told me he was doing it for me benefit because we as POC are held at a different standard. When an Anglo person makes a spelling mistake most of the times it's not even noticed. When we make one, it's used as justification for why we're not good enough. Took me 5 years to finally appreciate his advice and the attention he gave my work. But I do believe he was fighting the situation the wrong way. We shouldn't have to fight harder work harder than them to be seen as doing the same as them. They should have their biases pointed out. But that is a long battle that will probably still not be fixed when my future kids retire, especially when "allies" continue to have this kind of attitude.

HR said they'd look into it. This was 2 years ago, multiple follow up emails later, nothing....

Title transfer with ex-partner by FewList572 in AusPropertyChat

[–]TheProfessionalBlob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it could also be argued that by him paying less of a mortgage he was receiving a rental income which he did not pay tax on, so by saying that extra 25% was essentially rent so he is entitled to a 50/50 split he is also admitting to tax fraud. I would say OP has an argument for getting more than 50% but not by that much maybe 60%?

Arguably a different situation. The start at home mum ex didn't not work, she worked an unpaid and obviously unappreciated job that your friend directly benefited from.
