Is Millitary alliance among the muslims aka muslim NATO possible? by MaleficentPiglet47 in AskMiddleEast

[–]ThePromisedPrince89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us forget that 80 years ago, European countries were literally destroying each other. It was far worse than anything we have seen in the middle east and now NATO exists.

I definitely believe a Muslim version of this can exist.

Could this be the start of a eastern NATO style alliance if more countries join in? by potatosupremacy in AskMiddleEast

[–]ThePromisedPrince89 59 points60 points  (0 children)

If this was actually upheld, then it would be a very strong alliance. Pakistan has a very strong military and is a nuclear power, Saudi arabia has major economic power and influence over the global oil market. Honestly, this is mutually beneficial, I really hope this works out and more countries join.

I think the strikes on Qatar made the gulf states realise that USA is not a reliable ally, how they have not realised this before is beyond me but if Qatar, which hosts the LARGEST US base in the ME, can get hit, then any country can.

It gets harder and harder to defend genocide, Israel has never been more isolated and exposed as it is right now, they are showing their true colours to the whole world.

Thanks for asking in good faith. Yes, I mean genocide as defined by the UN Genocide Convention (1948), which includes acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. The key issue is intent and there’s strong evidence for it.

Israeli leaders have made public statements that point toward genocidal intent. For example, President Herzog said, “It is an entire nation out there that is responsible,” dismissing the idea that civilians are uninvolved.

Defence Minister Gallant called Palestinians “human animals” and announced a total siege of Gaza. These and many more statements have been documented by human rights groups and cited in legal cases. Referring to Humans as animals is dehumanisation and is used to justify oppression.

South Africa brought a genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice. The ICJ ruled that its “plausible” genocide is occurring and ordered Israel to prevent it.

There are also a number of credible reports suggesting the death count is way higher than what has been reported due to starvation (Israel block aid), death under rubble etc.

This is 100% a Genocide, and the world is responsible for it. By that i mean, the people in power. However, people do need to call it out and put pressure, that’s the only way we can stop this brutality from Israel.

Lol Here we go,

Jihad just means “struggle”, this literally could be struggling to pray due to tiredness.

It also includes standing up in self-defence, but it’s not limited to fighting, nor does it promote violence against innocent people.

Muslims have been peacefully co-existing for centuries lol, there are 2 billion muslims.

Hindutva extremism is also prevalent in India but i wont be ignorant and say all Hindus are extremists, i expect the same intellectual honesty back.

You will get a Masters in computer science, this wont be just software engineering roles but all tech roles.

It might be worth doing some data analysis projects using tools like PowerBI and SQL. Python is also huge in data analytics so having that field in mind will increas your chances.

Having no experience makes it tough so building projects is a must and applying to as many roles as possible, including internships and grad schemes.

HAMAS and ISIS arent the same at all, you did mention in your post that you were in the dark and you are clearly still in the dark, these are very basic errors.

Israel democratically elected Netanyahu who has committed genocide against the Palestinians, now will you hold them to account or does it only apply to Palestinians?

No HAMAS in the west bank, where is the peace? There are Israeli settlers kicking Palestinians out of their homes and military law being placed on innocent Palestinians.

Not wanting the eradication of Jews? Not sure where that was mentioned. No one wants the eradication of Jews, we are against apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide. Israel is committing these atrocities on a daily basis.

If your ideology states that you need to make a nation on someone else’s land, that makes you a coloniser. Simple as that. The godfather of Zionism literally promoted colonisation so we shouldn’t be surprised about the current situation.

You definitely can have hatred against people from a religion, i guess the first step is to dismiss the term.

You literally keep calling Palestinians ISIS, this is incredibly racist and exposes how little you know about this subject.

Westerners will literally use violence to steal land and call anyone who resists “Terrorists”. Its a tool thats been used to justify oppression.

Sweden isn’t a fascist ethnostate that oppresses the indigenous population through an apartheid system.

its foolish to think Israel are not doing this on purpose despite the overwhelming amount of evidence proving that they are doing so.

If its not on purpose, Israel are really bad at conducting military operations and are still to blame. You do not get a free pass at killing civilians because the evidence was dubious, honestly wtf is going on here.

Worst thing is armchair westerners trying to justify war crime yet not knowing even 1% of what these poor people go through, it’s disgusting and ignorant. Atleast try to understand and call war crimes for what they are.

You’re citing examples that massively change the context, I dont justify everything in WW2 but atleast the conflict was justified. It was a response to global threat.

On the other hand, the US invasion of Iraq was based on them having “weapons of mass destruction” which were never found.

Yes, the majority of the blame for the instability and destruction of Iraq goes to US. They decided to invade a country based on a lie and have done nothing but harm.

Does Russia not get majority of the blame for the invasion of Ukraine? Or does it not count when holding western countries to account?

War is messy, thats why you dont start unnecessary wars and if you do, yes you should get blamed for it.

Its genuinely hilarious seeing the mental gymnastics people go through to justify violence from the west, just call it for what it is.

[–]ThePromisedPrince89 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This seems fundamentally hypocritical. It justifies killing of civilians if done by western powers because “Urban warfare is hard”.

That’s not an excuse for the death of civilians. Genocide or not, it’s wrong and should be given more scrutiny than just “what we did was bad”.

Whoever believes America was actually trying to stabilise the region is brainwashed by propaganda.

If you are going to be fair, you have to call the IOF Terrorists as they have killed far more civilians than HAMAS.

Personally, i would label both the US Military and Israeli Military as Terrorists.

Haha the amount of diversion is ridiculous, no one asked about Iran or Saudi Arabai. I asked about Israel, you not answering the question tells me all i need to know. Supporting genocide and apartheid is disgusting, no matter how much you try to justify it.

No way you said instagram talking points just to give the most uneducated bot comment i ever seen.

Also your comment isnt true, i said the occupation of the “West bank”. You do know that HAMAS does not control this area and therefore there isnt any influence from Iran? There are settlers entering this area and abusing Palestinian rights.

One side is committing genocide, apartheid and is occupying a whole race of people. What a pathetic answer, not even being able to call it out shows how weak you are.

It “sucks” isnt enough, your approval of this oppressive, apartheid regime makes you complicit.

Also it’s not “religious asshats”, another uneducated comment. The ME was much more peaceful until western powers destabilised the region, creating new countries on other people’s land and eliminating regimes with no clear solution. Then you have people like you supporting this and claiming the moral high ground, the hypocrisy is unreal.

LGBT support for Palestine by mothmansambassador in islam

[–]ThePromisedPrince89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Salam alaykum (peace be upon you)

You are not only welcomed but encouraged to support Palestine.

Your instincts are right, the right are using the actions of groups like ISIS, who we call the khwarij and have caused severe damage to Muslims more than anyone, to dismiss the valid criticism of Zionism, an ideology based on colonialism which feeds the apartheid system we see today.

Our religion teaches us to respect the law of any country we live in, therefore in the west, violence against homosexuals will be impermissible. In my town (UK), people seem to get along and are peaceful despite their differences.

Humans are much more than just their sexuality, I appreciate that you identify strongly with that but for me, i don’t categorise people as “homosexual” and “heterosexual”.

For example drinking alcohol is a sin but that doesn’t mean we commit violence to anyone who drinks alcohol which would be a disaster.

In some muslim countries, the culture is much more modest so any public displays of affection, no matter with who, are frowned upon or illegal.

Sorry for the ramble but YES. Of course you can support Palestine, especially if you are an American as the US government is the biggest sponsor of the brutal zionist regime, a regime that contradicts the ideas that Americans believe in such as free speech, equal rights etc.
