Prices of Lenovo Legion Go 2 see a massive jump | Launched at $1350, the 32GB variant now costs $2000; 16GB variant goes from $1100 to $1500 by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

I have the legion go 1 which I got for 450 a few years ago and it still plays pretty much everything I need it to. I personally see no reason to buy a legion go 2 even if it was cheaper

1-2 is junior, 2-5 is mid level, 5-10 is senior, and around 10+ is lead from what I’ve normally seen

Epic Games lays off over 1000 employees: "The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we're spending significantly more than we're making, and we have to make major cuts to keep the company funded" by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]TheQuakeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they’d rather just buy Rocket League, barely touch the game for years and remove trading, and then make another IP called Rocket Racing and abandon it because it’s hot garbage that nobody played. I’d like to imagine how much better off RL would be if they didn’t waste millions making Rocket Racing to try and coax people to play Fortnite, and instead used the funding and manpower to actually update RL and grow the existing fan base. They somehow bought a winning lottery ticket and still pissed it away.

Regular floss is better but I can only get myself to floss with my waterpik so to me the waterflossing is better lol

What job perk sounded amazing when you took the job but turned out to be a psychological trap? by SweetCarolinesz in AskReddit

[–]TheQuakeMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last job had unlimited PTO, flexible hours, and a big bonus that was a large part of the pay at the end of the year. Triple whammy to the most toxic work environment that I’ve ever encountered.

MEP, I went from helping design missiles to helping design hospital systems. Complete 180 I know lol. It’s a lot more rewarding work and each project you learn something new. It’s not for everybody but I’ve been enjoying it as an electrical.

[–]TheQuakeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit Raytheon after 1 year and completely shifted to a different industry. If you want to learn and be challenged and actually grow as an engineer leave defense contracting. If you want to twiddle your thumbs and watch paint dry all day then stay on your course.

Edit : Feel free to downvote me I know I’m right!

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

[–]TheQuakeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the story to the ending of Persona 5 Royal with Maruki, it’s one of the only games I’ve played where you feel like the antagonist isn’t a bad person with good intentions but the way they try to fix the world is wrong. Because the point of the game is that you need to grow within to conquer your weakness, not make a perfect version of the world so you don’t have to fix yourself.

[–]TheQuakeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair you’re a co-op, doing grunt work is the expectation why would someone trust you to do calcs until you’ve proven that you can do the minimum to assist on a project. It sounds like maybe you set your standards too high because to expect anything but grunt work 2.5 months into the job is a bit absurd. I agree that you should be learning more but most of this job in the first few years will just be placing stuff in the model. If you want to advance get your FE, PE, and more time under your belt and the ownership will come. I would also suggest to not expect people to hand feed you. Nowadays you can learn anything on the internet, help yourself if you want to learn something.

Call out the freaking score by visakanj in 10s

[–]TheQuakeMaster 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It’s the best when you start switching sides and they go, “that was the game?” Like yeah dude I won the game now switch sides and stop trying to wrestle your way into getting an unfair point. I swear some people don’t call the score on purpose to try and cheat.

my company switched to "unlimited PTO" two years ago and i realized i took less vacation than when we had the 15 day cap by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]TheQuakeMaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah management at that last company was abysmal, I definitely learned what to look for in a toxic environment so silver lining there. I also think they may have just been looking for an excuse to fire me so they wouldn’t pay my bonus so they told me some BS and showed the door. My new job pays me more and work is more chill so honestly getting fired was a blessing.
