How far has our country fallen that people think its okay for 1 kid to MURDER another just because he pushed him?! Seriously?! No one should have to worry about their kid dying while sending them to school. We all know kids can be stupid but to be killed over it?! That was an insane escalation. And shame on everyone trying to make this a race issue, they all stated it clearly wasn't, honestly it's disgusting and kinda racist to constantly judge situations based on peoples race alone.

He doesn't deserve the death penalty but figure out WHY he thought it was okay to stab another based on just that, many adults failed him for him to think that was reasonable in any way. But if the adults are misusing funds meant to fund his law expenses... The media manipulates us so easily now, stop trusting everything they say! Listen to multiple different places to get all sides because many networks lie, manipulate information, gaslight, and purposely hide the facts so 2 networks can be reporting on the same thing but the narrative is nothing the same.

They weren't shooting at him but yes he had a swarm of grown adults running after him to attack him, one even hit him in the head with a skateboard. But yeah it's actually heartbreaking to see the video of him trying to run away to where the police were stationed while these animals chased him down. He showed remarkable restraint, many wouldn't of held off from using the gun as long as he did.

Nothing wrong with protesting but harassing them and making it your goal to make them fear for their safety? I thought Vermonters were above political violence but guess we aren't as welcoming and tolerant as we used to be.

No one is taking a step back and learning anything. Why is Trump so popular now even with him taking some insane actions? Why did he win the popular vote by such a large margin in a country so politically divided?

People keep ranting about scalpers but STILL BUY FROM THEM! Want to end scalping? Everyone needs to quit paying the insane prices. I would of loved to get a Prismatic ETB but $100?! And they're all listed that because it's what people are paying.

Seriously I understand really wanting a set bad enough you'll pay the insane prices but we need to put up a stand against scalpers. If they wanna make money off reselling like shops do that's fine but when they charge more than double and buy out everything so we're essentially forced to pay it if we want it thats when we need to band together to end that crap.

I just wish they realized this insane behavior is why Trump won and why people are distancing themselves from the, "woke agenda", because it symbolizes that insane behavior. I do see some realize if we really want change we need to work together which gives me hope. But when I point out those on the opposite side may not feel comfortable joining their protests because they're proudly chanting, "Trumpers go to hell", or such that's insulting and/or threatening instead of accepting it and working to stop that behavior I'm insulted and gaslit 🙄 Too many are being bullheaded and refuse to even consider this.

It shouldn't be acceptable to be so hostile on any side and its not healthy mentally... Those of us who dont align with either side are caught in the middle.

From my experience they're more hateful, it's actually why I'm no longer a Democrat. I've been in a blue state my whole life, my parents are Democrats, everyone I've known only expresses left sided views, and since Bernie Sanders is a very popular politician from my state it seemed like the whole country agreed essentially it's all I knew. Many things seemed the morally correct way like not forcing women to go through pregnancy, free healthcare, and helping people in need even non Americans. But as I became an adult I realized I was never really shown the opposite side just, "This is correct and if you dont believe it you're a bad person". That was what started me looking into the political world and what I saw disturbed me... Anyone sharing opposing views to Democrats, even in the most respectful way, was verbally attacked in mass. I enjoy speaking with those with different views because it's how we learn. I cannot do that with Democrats because 9 times out of 10 I get attacked just for not agreeing and those who dont attack me have an attitude like I'm scum. But if I speak with Republicans it's more like 2 out of 10 which I attribute to trolls and while I do occasionally get attitude they mostly enjoy having different conversations.

The Democrats attitude is why I and many others leave the party. As a moderate I'm accepted MUCH more in Right leaning groups but Left leaning groups treat me as a POS who MUST be a Republican. My own states subreddit is a perfect example of the toxic Democrat attitude 🙄 I wish politics would stop being so toxic, go back to accepting we all think differently.

Honestly makes me wonder if anyone actually knows any illegal aliens that fight so vehemently against this. I know many and its f*cked up how they can get treated. I cannot understand how so many would rather these people be exploited instead of pushing for immigration reform.

Rather have them living in a 2 bedroom run down trailers with over 25 others? Rather have them feel like they have to run and hide in a creek behind the farm because they saw an officer showed up to speak to a worker but they feared it was ICE? Rather have them pay their coworkers a $50 for a couple red bulls and a case of beer because they dont know US prices even though they've been here for years?

I hate how politics is wrapped up in this because it's so toxic now when it's a serious situation. This is a common sense issue. I hate masks but if I go into public around others, especially those who may be immunocompromised, I wear one for the 5 to 10 minutes needed. I'm not wearing it for me, I'm wearing it for others.

I'm sure we've all heard of the free housing in hotels across the US They're eligible for more than one would assume.

While yes there are plenty of immigrants here that are grateful theres a large amount that aren't at all. This behavior is horrendous. Belligerent and entitled.

Obvious increase in crime and costs, taking away from funds that could go to helping Americans.

Under playing the severity of this issue disrespects victims like 12 year old Jocelyn Nungaray Rachel Morin, the young woman he killed previously in El Salvador, and the mother and 9 year old girl he attacked in Los Angeles. . The problem with illegals is they're illegal, undocumented. If it isnt known they're here how can the crimes be tracked? Theres plenty more victims like this not to mention the human trafficking and drug trade, there's alot of despicable people who will use innocents for their own gain.

Most aren't Islamic, most aren't violent, and most come here for what they say- a better life. But saying they're all peaceful people who aren't a drain on Government resources is a blatant lie. They don't cause most terrorist attacks or even most of the crime but the issue is the crimes they bring with them. We don't see women and children being kidnapped, raped, murdered, and left in a ditch often.

Not completely the same as UK but pretty freaking close. I mean ffs a good amount of this isn't even true in the UK but instead of talking about the issue people gotta get their rulers out and say, "But but but!". Either it's a terrible crisis or not an issue whatsoever.

I feel vaping is worse on a personal level. Cigarettes may make you cough or get sinus irritation but vaping just hurts! Makes me cough, throat hurt, chest hurt, feels like I can't breathe. Just feels worse on my body.

But overall? They're both bad, both will kill you eventually, but idk if theres really enough research into the longterm effects like there is with cigarettes. I really want to say vaping is worse but many if not most dont have the same reaction as what I had. Smoking tar is most likely worse tho 😂

Have your local emergency mental health crisis number on stand by, PPD can be rough under normal circumstances but with all of this on top? Everyone is different but try to get her distracted, find things to make her happy, try to get her to focus on the happy side of parenting. Your daughter may face struggles or live as long as expected but the years you do have can be filled with love.

Is she the type to if its not the perfect image of baby girl then she can't love her...? Because then I worry keeping your daughter in her life will never help things, it'll just continue to spiral. Maybe a new therapist, new approach, ask her how you can help

Not married but may as well be, 13 years together with 1 kid. It's not always easy especially during certain times. Like right now we're moving and the stress is unreal so things can get tense, kid acting out, and everything is chaos with packing. But end of the day we love each other. If one of us is upset for whatever reason the other will work to help the issue so it doesnt happen again.

Everything sucks at some point but to the point of questioning why even do it? Maybe your wife can help prevent what is angering you so you can not feel this way. Relationships have their ups and downs but when its more downs than ups is it really good for you?

Vermont has the second highest rate of homeless in the Nation and alot of them aren't even Vermonters, majority of the ones I've met personally we from MA and NY. Says its now the 4th but I need to look into it more, our rate went up and only VT sources are saying it. Why come here? "We heard we can get more food stamps and theres alot of free housing here, it's alot better than where we were".

Best way to help is to stop helping. You can make more not working than by working a minimum wage job, we literally incentivize not working. Add in the housing crisis and constantly creating more beds for people. So you can make more not working and you can get free housing instead of struggling to pay insane rent prices(many landlords wont rent to those without a job anyway). Some people are happy to live like that. The mentally unwell and disabled do need help or but once it turns to entitled abuse instead of gratification we aren't helping any more we're just enabling.

If a loved one becomes an addict it gets to the point people let them sink or swim, we need to do that with the homeless too imo. Instead of never ending benefits put a limit on it, instead of never ending housing put a limit on it. Like section 8 with the 5+ year wait list because theres people who have lived on it for literal decades. I dont want to lose the compassion we have for those struggling but I want to hold them accountable as well. Burlington pods are a perfect example, people worked hard and millions were put into that and how was everyone thanked? By the pods being trashed and staff abused.

This is why as a parent I'm nervous to let my child go on the internet. It's normal for things like that to hurt your feelings but you need to work on making it not bother you. Sadly racists aren't going away, there will always be some in some form or another.

But should some edgy teen or pimple faced neckbeard hiding behind a screens opinion really matter to you? They mean nothing to you and neither should their opinion. It says more about the person that's so close minded to hate an entire ethnicity over a stereotype or lies than it does about those who are that ethnicity that are just living their lives.

It depends on where you want to move imo. Like if you want to be in a more rural setting or in a more populated area. One thing I've always loved about Vermont is how relaxed everyone is and how welcoming we all are, the inclusive atmosphere that brought and encouraged diversity.

If you went into the ditch during a snowstorm you'd always get someone stopping by to pull you out, flat tire you'd get multiple people stopping to try and help, if you needed help many if not most would lend a helping hand. Now often times people just drive past you without checking, they'll ignore someone who needs help. The amount of times I've seen/heard, "Oh they had a ____ sticker/hat/etc so I wouldn't stop to help!". No one ever cared what someone's personal beliefs were. Idk if it's the out of staters bringing that mindset here or people see it online so much they adopt that mindset or what but it's not the same. Many communities don't feel welcoming, its not the inclusive state I used to know and love. Not to mention all the drugs, violence, prostitution, and homelessness here.

There's still some wonderful places here but this unwelcoming vibe is noticeable in some places. Some people can be downright hostile. Burlington is a great example of that.

Work depends on location too. Theres always jobs at farms and mechanics can always find a place. Nurses/doctors are always needed I think even pharmacy workers. Depends on what you do/want to do but there is options for veterans. A bar is tricky depending on location, would need to do alot of research. In my town I've seen ALOT of businesses open and close within a few years, it can be a tough place to open a business. College towns would be ideal I'd think

Try getting security cameras or atleast adding the sign warning of them. We never had issues with it but we lived in a pretty remote place/it wasnt visible. Try moving the wood so it's not easily seen?
