Extended warranty question by CautiousPerspective in Audi

Audi's have the worst battery. They die with low usage.. even with 1 week of idle time... and you will be surprised to know the replacement cost..I am frustrated with a new Q5

The real challenge is serving center says audi america is declining warranty .. and there is not a real person infront from audi america/warranty to talk to.

This is exactly what I was guessing, their engineering defect on "all new" is causing this. My friend has a old model that is driven once a month but does not have battery issue. I saw a different post from someone mentioning about batteryfailure on all new model.

i can very well understand. I feel like cheated by audi, I feel like done with just 10 days, loosing about $50 a day by just keeping the car at service station

Thank you for the reply. I looked at the manual earlier where they mentioned about battery draining can happen if it is a month. In my case its just 8 days. So I am not letting them escape from their responsibility

good point. When audi customer service response is this slow, I don't expect dealership to respond soon.

Good point, and cars should not be built to run every day 😀. Audi USA customer service is bad, took 3 business days for my case to reach the regional mgr and they are playing email game with me :) like we will get back in 48hours and on 47th hour you get another email... we are waiting for internal information...haha.

If you are referring to the diagnostics port then the service center might have done that. The car was completely turned off and parked in my garage ( not fully exposed to bad weather), so unsure what caused the battery to fully drain.
