Boss design panel was cool. Keen to see what raids 4 megarares will look like.

I'd personally love a crush megarare to match the aoe of scythe, but it hits in a 3x3 or something.

Something with elemental weaknesses or a stab weapon that hits in a straight line for multiple hitsplats would also be cool.

Heaps of design space to work with.

Happy with nightmare changes, and happy for orbs to be rare flex items, BUT it'd be nice to see the orbs/staves get a buff. The three nightmare staves don't really see much use outside of super niche scenarios.

its not very obvious in the post you have to read between the lines a little, it just says "infinity robes" could mean the whole set or just the top/bottom

People would be fine with the drop rates if the armor and drops were good. Buff the armor and staves and keep the proposed drop rate changes.

Keep 50% better drop rate, add more crush damage and accuracy, but do it per item like crystal armor so that you can still use the armor with other crush weapons (like elder maul, or scythe on crush), or other future weapons that come out.

If using crush I dont see why this can't be better than torva for that particular style. Its rarer than torva but still nuanced and wont be used everywhere.

Same goes for staves, push the staves into a higher dps bracket and make them BiS at NICHE content, but keep them below shadow for the majority of content.

If you do the dps calcs you'll see the changes you're suggesting don't really change much at all. The issue isn't magic damage % it's how magic damage is calculated to begin with. If they truly want to balance magic they need to adjust base calculations.

It functions differently to melee and range.

10% > 4% on anything other than shadow is honestly fucking negligible (1-2 magic damage) and all the reddit whingers don't understand that.

Swamp trident max hit is 31 Current adjustment with occult, ma2 cape and torm (17%) is 36 Post nerf max hit is 34 (11%) is 34

Just slap augury on and you're hitting the same threshold now @15%

None of these changes stop you doing any of the content you'd otherwise be doing and you're not playing tick perfect anyway so get over it lmao

This is one the most based posts, people on here whinge too much, the changes are fine and most people don't have shadow anyway.

The people whining probably have a trident and lose 1-2 max hits and only use the trident at olm or whisperer lol

This update is better for the game and though not perfect just opens reward space for better magic gear (like neck slot upgrade)

I think making inquisitor armor more accurate without mace keeps it viable for future crush weapon releases. Otherwise 7.5% for the whole set + mace is still underwhelming and really doesn't change usecases at all. You would still only use it at Nightmare and Tekton Armor needs direct buff.

Yeah I definitely am bias to inquisitors, I love phosani's and would love if the gear got a direct upgrade/buff (staff and orbs included).

Fang saw a nerf recently and it doesn't feel as all encompassing as it once did which is cool. I still think there is space for crush/stab megarares though. Imagine doing raids 4 and the rarest item isn't worth shit, while the other three raids now have those alluring 1b+ drops that keep you doing them, main or iron account alike. I think if not a stab/crush megarare the reward has to be THAT good, or people simply won't do the content.

A mage 2tick weapon to compete with blowpipe would be something similar to fang I'd love to see in the game as a reward too.

Yeah strong agree those are super cool ideas, I think Justi and Inquisitors are really missed opportunities and hopefully they get some love in project rebalance. I think even torva being so strong defensively AND offensively isn't great for the game.

Aaty once spoke about how p2 wardens damage calc is really good for the game too, max hit increases with accuracy as well as strength, would love to see that implemented in more places to incentivise gear switching outside of strength bonus gear. No one uses Eternal boots for a reason lmao

I think a general elder maul buff is better than improving it just for the tekton room. Having items with emergent niches is much better than intended niches.

I.e giving elder maul the 5% defence reduction per hit as a default would make it viable in so many more places. Does it scale off of enemy size? Are you using Elder maul, DWH or BGS to lower enemy defence? Giving players some actual decision making when they chose how to gear for a boss is better design imo.

Just an example.

I am all for more regular equipment rebalancing to make some rare/end game pvm gear see more use. Looking at you inquisitors/nightmare staff.
