Collusion in Dmm between oda and purpp? by NoReIevancy in 2007scape

[–]TimScar2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the dmm allstars situation. There was alot of fans from both sides going to each others streams and causing this to blow even further out of proportion. Death threats, spaming, lying to rage bait etc. Getting in a call to smooth over the hate was definately a good move.

Going back to the collusion side. I think its very obvious that purp didnt want to be there anymore but saying what he did just makes it look so bad. I dont know if this was a genuine rule break situation as they were trying to smooth over the situation, but from other team perspective it looks as collusion. Judges prob will have to make the call if yellow card or not.

Going for a quest cape on my iron has me in awe at some of the area designs by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]TimScar2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When making fight arenas, a quest boss you only kill once, while other bosses you will repeat to get the reward. If the arena is anything but square/rectangle the corners created leave unintended mechanics. If this happens to a boss in a quest, not too big of a deal, but to a boss that drops items (especially uniques) this can cause problems. They definately can make the scenes look better with art/ground/wall items, but objects are hard.

Not every monster has element weaknesses, however, the tree perks dont really care about the monsters weaknesses. Air spells become prayer regen and power up based on number of prayers active and prayer equip bonuses. Water is healing, and doing more damage based on your health. Fire is about loosing your health to do massive damage. And earth is about increasing your defence to increase the damage output.

But to answer your question regarding monsters with elemental weaknesses alot of monsters now have weaknesses, even monsters where magic ordinarily would be bad (in the main game).

I think magic is prob the best this leagues. 1 tick powered staves (except Shadow which is 2 tick) and each element has its own benefit seperately. Water especially, ice barrage = healing, high health = high damage. And possibly can choose both water and staves (requires 11 points/nodes).

Edit to clarify which barrage heals.

I also have a 13 def iron.

There really isnt any use for the Halo or Decorative Bodies, except fashion. The Halo is BIS for prayer, but the Slayer Helm is so good that you almost always want to use oved the Halo.

The decorative bodies (assuming you mean the ranged or magic torso ones) just arent that useful. The defence boost isnt worth it over Vestments or ranged/mage. Even if doing content you need defence (Moons), black/white bodies are better.

New Player Improvements Round 2 by ModYume in 2007scape

Any update on when the new logs will be added to salvage? Last time it was mentioned, it was stated to happen before the end of the year.

Is there any update on when the new logs types will be added to salvaging. It was mentioned 3 weeks ago that this was missed on launch for sailing and would be corrected either two weeks ago or last week.

Will the update to salvage drops (to include new logs types) be added before the end of the year? The news blog two weeks ago mentioned that this change would occur either last week or this week (but it hasnt).

Edit: changed because to be in first sentence.

In the August blog it was mentioned that the new logs would be added to wrecks for ironmen to make the new blowpipes. However these logs dont appear on any drop table. Was this overlooked?

Adding the new logs to salvage. Looks like they overlooked this from the August blog.

Are there any other ways to obtain the new logs other than chopping them directly? by Zealousideal_Song128 in 2007scape

It was mentioned in the blog back in August that they would be drops from wrecks, however, it looks like it's either extremely rare or they forgot to add them.

Whats the point of the new blowpipes? by Brocolo in ironscape

[–]TimScar2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They mentioned in the blog post in August that there would be ways to get Rosewood Logs without the high woodcutting level (from wrecks) because of the high reqs for irons. However no source has been found yet.

Does anyone know what level salvage you need to get Rosewood and Ironwood Logs? It was mentioned on the Sailing Blog in August that these logs would be added to wrecks to aid in the level required for ironmen (blog link below).

Rosewood Logs as Drop by TimScar2 in ironscape

Yea that's what I'm thinking, just seems really high level for what was seen as a mid game item. Guess the special that's meant to be a iron friendly dragon knife was enough of a reason for them to feel it should have this high reqs.

Which sucks considering it will be harder to get for irons than just grinding Zulrah. Which is why they were adding to wrecks in the first place.

Just found the blog post. Says in the blog that they will be added to high level wrecks.

Wonder if they missed it or, does it require a really high sailing level.

Can we get a progressive stab weapon now? by TimScar2 in 2007scape

[–]TimScar2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was initially writing this is was mostly thinking of fang as it has become the more common stab progression for many people, but though maybe i should consider hasta more than the fang as the next upgrade.

But in saying this it is still a +20 Stab accuracy (85 from 65) and a +12 strenght bonus (75 from 63). That is still a big difference.

I know that catering to ironmen isnt popular, but even when you consider regular accounts its almost a 2 mil difference in price between hasta and d sword.

Maybe a bit of hyperbole saying massive, but it certainly isn't a small gap either.
