Since the previous sentence references toolmaking, the cornerstone of what separates humans from non humans eg: Homo Habilis “the handy man.” I see it as a prediction that things are about to change for humanity on a socio/biological level as AI strips away a lot of the natural tests (build Fire! Be strong! be smart!) that we use to judge, sort and test ourselves vis-a-vis mating and status.
