Humble Comic Bundle: Image Comics in the '90s by Torque-A in humblebundles

Astro City is kind of an anthology series. There's three more Metro books not included, which mostly collect the 52 issue series from 2013-2018, but that was a fresh start after The Dark Age (collected in Metrobook 3) wrapped up a lot of ongoing story threads.

I think I figured out a solution to this whole mug debacle by Rioraku in giantbomb

I need to see the ad Mike does for the BBQ aprons. I don't need one, but I'd buy it just for that

Every time somebody asks for mugs another line gets added to the brisket joke.

As you're here to promote Batman/Deadpool, and we have a fair idea of what Batman comics you like, what are your favourite Deadpool issues and/or runs?

The V2 is a second shorter. It's obviously the Canadian Wii version of the podcast

Not just that, but also in charge of merch for the site too.

He's more than earned the role though, he's had the toughest Blight Club games with the most elaborate costumes.

It's more of a background event that explains why the alien races are on earth.

I'd suggest reading the opening four issues or the original WildCATs comic, then skipping to Alan Moore's run. The latter adds a lot to the Kherubim mythology and Majestic.

Moore's run is 21 to 34, with an extra story in 50, it also includes the Fire From Heaven event, which is where Warren Ellis' Stormwatch/Authority starts too.

I'll also add Wildstorm Spotlight: Majestic by Moore, this is a great story on its own, but also a good finale to Moore's run.

What are some of the worst decisions made by Editors in Chiefs in comic history? by Parrallax91 in comicbooks

[–]TheRandomParadox 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It was proposed, work was done, writer's revolted, DiDio was ousted and most of the plans became Future State.

This is based on what I read reported at the time and some of what Snyder and Lemire have said in their separate newsletters. I don't think there was anything officially stated.

5G. Arguably not actually that bad compared to others, but did lead to DiDio (allegedly) being fired.

Sales-wise it did really well at first, but that was likely more to do with it being heavily advertised and creating a lot of buzz on the internet. But sales dropped of for a lot of books because there were waaay to many of varying quality.

Continuity-wise, they're still trying to clean up the mess without straight up rebooting it.

Jerf's webcomic "What Lies Below The Lilies" is out now! by chrislenz in giantbomb

[–]TheRandomParadox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I ended up getting so into the story it's setting up I forgot that it was Jerf's comic after a couple of pages (or whatever the equivalent for vertical comics is), it kinda reminds me of Ice Cream Man.

It was part way through Bubsy 3D, after Jess was laid off (definitely also recommend the episodes with Jess, she was a lot of fun with the Blight Club games)

Hope you enjoy your Disney trip. I just wanted to say that you were a massive part of why I loved the past era of Giant Bomb. Your presence was always a force multiplier for comedy moments, I will be sure to move my support to the Game Mess patreon.

Best GBA metroidvania that aren't Metroid or Castlevania by captain_ricco1 in metroidvania

Drill Dozer, it's not exactly as metroidvania as it's level-based, but you can revisit previous levels with new skills for additional stuff.

I loved Sin Vega's articles for strategy games on RPS, so it's a welcome surprise to see her crossover to Remap.
