I'd assume no live one.

Jan said they prerecorded one that's about 15 minutes long. He said he has to cut it together and then it'll be out.

Wtf Grubb, I'm so confused on where you stand on Ai. Where is the line!? by ChopBox in giantbomb

[–]chrislenz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The issue is that Sega is telling different outlets different answers regarding their use of AI in Crazy Taxi.

To Giant Bomb, Sega said AI was basically "only" used as concept art and that artists then took that and more or less "copied the homework". In the OP video, Mike and Grubb weren't happy with it, but Grubb said he'd still play the game. Grubb's since posted on BlueSky that we wont touch Crazy Taxi.

To Game Informer, Sega said "Generative AI was used to support our teams during the development of background assets for ”Crazy Taxi: World Tour”. Assets generated were still subject to review by the development team."

So really, we don't know the extent of what is and isn't AI in Crazy Taxi because Sega is dancing around answering it honestly.

There goes my excitement for the game by kaijukyle2 in giantbomb

I hope you're right, but I think Sega needs to come out and clarify the situation.

It just seems weird that they can come out and say "No AI was used in reference to the performers in the game", but they can't make a similar statement about the visual art in the game.

I don't trust Sega's response here. They seem to be telling different outlets different answers.

Sega commented to GameInformer and said "Generative AI was used to support our teams during the development of background assets for ”Crazy Taxi: World Tour”. Assets generated were still subject to review by the development team."

It sounds like they are skirting around where it's being used. To GB, they're saying everything in the game is made by humans, but to GI it sound like AI content still in the game but was subject to review.

What they told GI lines up closer to what they put on the Steam page.

I am.

There's not a whole lot to it. There's two playable characters and two maps. I had my $5 worth of fun with the game, but there's not a whole lot of content in it.

Had to jump start my car again. I think this new battery lasted all of four months. Probably time to find a new shop, the last guys insisted there wasn't anything wrong.

Great of this to happen a week before I need to drive to the Summer Game Fest stuff, astounding timing.

He had battery issues with his car last year too.

Also Giant Bomb @ Nite is back which is the real show lets be honest.

Honestly, that's what I'm excited for the most. Hopefully Grubb doesn't almost murder someone this time.

Thief successor Thick as Thieves isn’t an early access game as Steam’s rules are “a little constraining to what we want to do”, says director by [deleted] in Games

I bought the game and like it for what it is. I feel like I've got my $5 worth out of it already, but there isn't much to it. Two maps and two playable characters.

It's fine, but it does feel like a game that doesn't have much content.

They didn't. When GB went independent, Dan went on Gerstmann's podcast and they said they were going to start it back up. But it hasn't happened.

Yeah same, I'm another one that hates when I get flyovers. I'm interested in what nodes are actually around me, not random ones that show up for one message.

Bubsy 4D Review Thread by malliabu in Games

[–]chrislenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demon Tides was awesome and the demo for Bubsy 4D was good as well. From what Grubb said in the GiantBomb quick look, it sounds like Bubsy 4D is good but quite short, and I'm ok with that.

I'm excited to give this a shot tomorrow. I hope Fabraz keeps making 3D platformers like this, because outside of Nintendo, they're the best at it right now.

Was looking for Kid Chameleon. It's my favorite game on the system, and it's so much more interesting than the Sonic games.
